Yeah, regardless of the court's opinion it's still the most important pillar in keeping the balance of power imho. Legislation and executive are too close to each other to be effectively independent. As I've been saying and warning a long time ago the president's power and his pardoning power are too extensive. Not to mention the sacrilege like nature the office has compared to most any other democracies. This can be misused. And Trump is doing exactly that. By putting out decreets Trump undermines democracy. In fact that's no different from dictatorship. By setting up all positions of power with his group of people instead of experts from the various fields from various group of people he's doing the same as Putin and Erdogan: taking over and turn the system to an autocracy (later oligarchy) and create a system that would forever protect and support his group of people. It may not be fully realized now but it will sooner or later with or without him. That's the greatest danger to be guarded against these days.

Anyway, looking for some engineering inspiration I found a nice page with all the all-time problems addressed.

Nice, but it requires two type of solids to fill all spaces. It's not like I don't know the answer but still looking for a product.

Outside of a new place for spelunkers?

I read an article that showed 5 reasons why real life schoollife in Japan is different from anime.
It boils down to three words: Anime Is Fiction!

Well we're going to have the ministrial candidate preach at our church on the 26th of this month.
Hopefully she clicks with the congregation because it has been an overly long process to find one.

My aunt's back in the hospital, this time in Spokane. She fell of the toilet on Saturday night trying to
dry herself after taking a bath and broke her hip. The way I figure it is she must've been sitting near the edge and slid off.

On the bright side it looks like Spring is hopefully around the corner. Very Happy
It hasn't snowed any or rained in the last week, though it still is icy and hard to walk around.
Hopefully it will get better before I have my dental appointment(I haven't heard from them yet
    but should soon).

Icy today. The streets are aweful. Good thing I only had to go to the PO and that was it.
I can't imagine walking around here all day. Next week I think I have a dentist appointment but hope the streets will be better by then. Except I haven't gotten my notice or phone call from the dentist
office yet, if I don't by Monday I shall have to walk up there after I'm done at the library to see about it.

Welp, despite all that talk of Calexit from the USA I doubt it will ever happen. Especially since Jerry
Brown and the others there are begging on their hands and needs for FEMA money to help out with
the flooding and everything. Can't get FEMA any more or other Federal Government aid like that if
you're no longer part of the USA.
In other words we're much more dependent and connected with each other as a country than we were in 1861, so secession these days is pretty much a no go.
Besides if California left they'd be back within a month. They really can't make much of a go of it on their own.

Re-reading the Spider-man novel The Lizard Sanction by Diane Duane. And have to ask
is hydrogel a thing in real science? It's an important plot device.

Yeah, it's colder again everywhere in the northern hemisphere.
The Ukraine plans to turn the Chernobyl zone into a solar energy production zone. They're in great need of electric heating... With the war going on I doubt it's feasible.

In the fashion of the 100 year project and MarsOne the Emirate's been working on colonizing Mars. Now they published concrete plans.
    http://www.khaleejtimes.com/nation/dubai/uae-plans-to-send-humans-to-mars-set-up-city
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirates_Mars_Mission
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Hope
From the visual looks of it... it's too artistic than anywhere close to a realistic project. For one I don't see the necessary & indispensable nuclear reactor. Besides the city does not provide the kind of safety measures in case of failure. I would have a different setup to deal with the wind issue even if parts of the city are destroyed to still be able to provide some extra protection for free e.g. wind shadows.

Looks like this is going to replace iron magnetic fluids in application.
Lots more should be possible with the size it offers. Hmm, morphing magnets could be useful for space applications.

The idea of using mixed hydrogene-natural gas has been around for a while
    http://www.eolss.net/sample-chapters/c08/e3-13-05-02.pdf
Now it seems a certain german company (Graforce Hydro GmbH) claims to have found an efficient way to produce hydrogene, too. It basically uses electric arc via magnet and electro-magnetic fields on the water surface. It looks to me it's only good for mass production. Whether it's truly more efficient compared to the much more simple electrolysis I can't tell. I'm guessing the gain is due to the much smaller distance and a much less powered field is required for the electron flow. *shrugs*

(He needs to stick to his day...er...night job.)

Went to see about my dental appointment on my way home from the PO today, but when I got there it was all closed up and the lights were off. So I guess I will have to see about it on Monday.
I think I was supposed to have an appointment either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I think I still need to get K'ON I really really really..I mean really need to get it this year. Laughing
Like I also need to really really really really...really get some other things as well this year
as well. But I really ought to get around to ordering it in April before I forget.

Btw. keep us posted about your ..uhm.. polyp-scare issue from last time especially when things go south.

Recently I've been making various dishes which requires frying including some experimentations. Before I knew it used up all my regular kitchen pans so took out a really old one from my parents. It's been ages since I used it last and forgot it had no anti-stick layer. Geez what a mess cleaning it.

    collected news on mosquitos:
    https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/02/we-now-know-why-mosquitoes-find-malaria-victims-so-tasty/
    https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/02/in-high-tech-mimic-of-your-patio-scientists-find-the-best-mosquito-deterrent/
    https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/02/zika-crosses-the-placenta-by-latching-on-to-fetal-blood-vessels/
Except for last nothing new empirically. But it seems they didn't use someone with "sweet" blood in testing all those deterrent for a comparison.
I find it scary that zika gives new ideas on how to create a disease that's guaranteed to exterminate us all to the last generation.

    https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/02/40-years-of-data-show-immigration-decreases-or-stabilizes-crime-rates/
Well, not really surprising and it coincides with crime statistics from other countries.
"brown" foreigners are often under more scrutiny in the public than others which frankly makes it easier for others to do the deed. Then again immigrants don't have the time nor energy when they work all day. And frankly people with too much time on hand tend to slip into trying it. Many would say because the immigrants take away their jobs. Well, statistically most of those jobs are not preferred. On the other hand when naturalized or 2nd generation people excel they get blocked out of jealousy e.g. certain medical universities in california wouldn't accept people of certain origin anymore because there's too many doctors of them. In any case, I think the industry preferring lower wages, excess profit and exploitation of "eager" people, hence, modern slavery is the main cause for many economic misery. If modern slavery would be dealt with and everything would be equal for everyone we wouldn't have as many problems. People deny it but people want to be ruled and enslaved. I said already these people elect the path that's causing all these to begin with. Nobody is free in this world whether you want it or not you will contribute to making it worse. That's what we are now.

So some psychologist are saying Trump is mentally unstable? That's probably being formally nice. I think he's just like a spoiled brat who rampages when he doesn't get what he wants.
Everyone has to abide by his wishes or he will raise hell simple as that. Therefore, he has no qualms to fire people and the like and do as he pleases. But hey, wasn't that obvious all along? Then again people are blind as long as they hear what they want, isn't it. I shouldn't bother with this any longer since it's already too late. I prefer to warn than to clean up people's messes. Then again it has never worked out. People just want a bad world.

I went down to see about my dental appointment and was surprised it's next Thursday instead of this week. Welp..new dentist and everything...

Looks like if all goes well on Sunday we should have a new minister by next month. Smile
Interestingly she and her husband also own an antiques store in Wyoming so just in case it doesn't work out for some odd reason they still have something to fall back on.

What's with ABC and Once Upon A Time? I keep looking for it to be back on but instead they
keep showing other things. I guess I had better look it up when I get off here to see when it'll be
    back.

In the meantime I am watching re-runs of Voyager on Heroes & Icons.

Tommorrow's Agents of SHIELD should be fun since everyone but Fitz and Simmons have now been replaced by Replicants. Blade Runner much anyone? Very Happy Laughing

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARKpnJF8AW0

As far as normal TV goes, currently, I watch Castle most regularly. I guess I've long shifted more onto streaming services. It's just more convenient time wise otherwise I would most of the time miss them.

Russia's UN envoy died suddenly and now people are fearing who's going to replace him. After all he was a level headed, reasonable and respected one.
Btw. it's kind of interesting how Japan gets itself involved with the North Korean assassination by releasing those video footage. With recent event like the Philippines a lot of background work seems to be done to pressure china directly or indirectly. Kind of like getting back for THAAD despite their renewed differences on korean women in wwii.
Well, whatever this is nothing compared to what had happened all the time. You would be shocked if you knew. This time they were just too bold and made it impossible to cover up.

Well the Chinese seem to be reluctantly moving in the direction of doing something about North Korea.
Probably just to get the West off their backs.

Nikki Haley apparently gave the rest of the Security Council a What For in one of her first press conferences.

The sad fact is that people have lost the whole idea that politics is supposed to be about compromise.
Too often now both sides are about "It's My Way Or The High Way" mentality.

So there seemed to be a hint at what was really going on with the Life Model Decoys on
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD yesterday at the end of the episode when they pan the outside of the building complex that May was in and show the HYDRA emblem.
Of course this was in the simulation but still it seems that HYDRA may have something to do with
    AIDA's whole agenda.

And didn't see Fitz being an LMD, thought it was Daisy that would be one. And the whole thing with her discovering the LMD versions of herself...reminded me of the reboot of Battlestar Galactica when Boomer discovers she's really a Cylon.

Ok so maybe the LMDs are really secretly working for the Cylons! Laughing

The LMD makes me wonder if Coulson has always been one. It all reminds me of Dune and the Ghola trying to take over the Empire. You know, the Duncan Idaho ghola put in place to ill Paul.

With Trump announcing his intend to increase nukes, well, Obama already made that decision years ago, though. There's media rumor germany could decide to have nukes, too. I find this ridiculous. It's pretty much an open secret Germany and Japan are able to produce one whenever they pleased. But it's neither politically nor economically desirable for them to keep an arsenal. So this is not gonna happen.

Currently, firearms are very popular with the population in the Ukraine. The crime rate has sharply declined because of this. It's understandable with the war going on there. On the other side it will make it difficult to create order once everything is settle (if ever). I wonder how AlexT is doing these days. It would be nice to hear from him again.

I always loved the name Duncan Idaho. For some reason it reminds me of spuds! Laughing

Tomorrow they're having a meet and greet for an hour and a half for our prospective new minister
    at the church.

Sent in my order for Celestial Method yesterday and then March is Pilot Candidate
and finally in April I will order K-ON it's about time I ordered that!

So the Governor of Washington is basically now saying that he won't allow the State Police to obey
long standing National Law on illegal immigration. Unfortunately you can't pick and choose which
law you're going to obey, especially if you happen to be a government official.(Didn't we just
go through that lesson with the county clerk in Kentucky?)

And George Takei continues to show how irrelevant he has become...Next Wil Wheaton will become
the George Takei of the Next Generation!
Seriously and Takei wonders why his political career went no where.

(Apparently he thinks that America needs something like the Arab Spring.)

So we finally got our new minister after nearly a year of waiting. She doesn't start until next
month as she has to finish up her interm at another church.

    Dentist on Thursday...oh! how fun!

So Ward is going to be back on Agents of SHIELD! Cool
Looks like they really needed to get Bret Dalton back from the way things were going. He and
Clark Gregg and Ming Na Wen have been the Big Three as far as I'm concerned when it comes to the show.

Spring training so far for Mariners. Two games versus the Padres and a total score of 26-5
in favor of Seattle. At least neither team had to travel far since they share the same facilities.

Now have to check on the Twins to see if they've started yet...

Besides I like the thought of getting it done early so I have the rest of the day free!

Not having any of the sports channels any more is a bit refreshing in a way as it means I can
be free to root for my Minnesota teams guilt free. Of course I still also root for the Seattle teams as long they don't play each other. But now I can get out of the closet about being a Minnesota fan! Wink

AMD is now selling the Ryzen 7 processor better/more economic in many respect compared to Intel. Too bad I'm stuck with this new&old computer. I guess I won't upgrade for a few more years. But this gives hope Intel will finally put out a truly new processor design. The last few (3-4) generations have been more like "stepping" releases rather than truly new architectures. A "stepping" used to be revisions and or bugfix version that would be produced and silently replacing the faulty ones. Intel has been cheating when AMD couldn't compete. The only real new things in those were the graphic parts.

    https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/03/superbugs-fester-in-sink-p-traps-and-can-crawl-back-up-to-cause-infection/
Now this is scary. Hospitals have ionizers to keep water clean but the drains are a whole different matter. Well, I personally pour hot water once a week down my kitchen drain to
    - get rid of clogging fat/oil especially in winter
    - get rid of germs
    - get rid of small food crumbs/particle and such in the P-trap
But this doesn't make it easier to keep the sink clean, though.

So Tsundere Maid Cafe's are a thing?

Anyway, rather than watch anime, I've been watching the Anime Man, who seems to be an off and on resident of Japan. I have not been watching his videos for a while; been watching his friends' videos though. In any case, that was odd to see. In any case, I should resume watching what I want soon enough. For the lyric adaptation of the Rains of Castamere, I did end up rewatching Crest of the Stars episodes 6 to 8. I feel the lyrics capture his attitude, playing up the tone of insolence as a dedication or propaganda song might.

Well thank you all for your time once more.

But personally as far as maid cafe go, if I happen to walk across one I definitely will take a look out of curiosity but otherwise there's zero chance of me seeking out one.

As a fellow texan you should follow a Texan in Tokyo. It's a blog by a blond (fantasy), green eyed (purely guessing), sexy (wishful thinking) texan and ninja warrior (is true). It's over now but it's not too late yet. Well, I haven't been following for a long time either.

My reaction to the whole concept of Tsundere Maid Cafes: scratch Shocked affraid

Soooo.....images of Asuka in a maid outfit suddenly come to mind!

Welp I still think they need to have a Star Trek anime series. Base it on something like the
    comic books would be epic.

Lunch time so have to go.

I may be posting more adaptations than I expected. I wanted to post only one a day, but I suppose just posting a whole bunch may be better while I am inspired. I have lost track of time due to work and such, so I have not been able to watch as I'd like. Expect more songs soon.

Also a hilarious video from a gentleman who's being entirely sincere. As it turns out, he basically delivers that speech to anyone trying out whiskey. He's an interesting person to watch.

Yeah even without sound that was pretty hilarious. Though TBH I don't drink so may not have been the most useful for myself personally. Though ironically one of my (probable) 3x great grandfathers back in Ireland ran a award winning brewery( they also made tea).

Saw the first trailer for the GITS live action movie on tv yesterday. Rated PG-13.

So according to Rightstuf this is your last chance to get When They Cry as it has gone OOP.

I see where Pin Stripe Alley the Yankee fan blog at SBNation has an "How I Became A Yankee Fan" fan post up so that fans can tell others why they love the Yankees. One interesting story was from a fan from India who said he became one after he was sent to the U.S. as part of his job and wanted to learn American sports. So he decided to try baseball because it was like Cricket and
he decided to root for the nearest team.
The Yankees won out because they were 5 miles closer to where he lived in NJ than the Mets! Laughing

Maybe one of these days we should have a "Why I became a Crest/Banner of the Stars" fan?

    Hello there,

Well I hope to put out another lyric writing or adaptation today. Not as much feedback as I'd expect. I may do one for Ekuryua soon. In any case:

I should look into getting the Higurashi series before it becomes exceedingly rare. To be fair, it still may be easier to get it than the Crest and Banner I - III, which I finally have at long last on hard-copy DVD. I am irrationally pleased about that, though I believe I mentioned I got them perhaps last year.

Crt1tikal has made a retrospective in his classic satirical and understated tone. I suppose he's a internet version of Stephen Wright. Anyway, a video for everyone to check out. I suppose I will share what I am watching on YouTube here now besides the posts I randomly have on the website.

I don't drink either but I know there are many types of glasses and you are suppposed to spit it out after tasting it and not chuck down... So what he did is not correct testing at least not for wine.

I'm not too fond of Higurashi. It's too violent for me.
You are welcome to create a "Why I became a Crest/Banner of the Stars" post.

    I'm curious about your adaptation.
