So I'm now in the church choir. Got kind of shaghai-ed into it. We don't start until this Sunday though.
I took a quiz on playbuzz that supposedly tells you who you should actually vote for and was surprised I got Bernie Sanders...I'm not even close to being a Socialist!
OTOH...I took another quiz that supposedly lets you know how much of a Tory (UK party) you are and
I got Aristocratic Tory!

The autopsy of the high school quarterback that died after an injury in New Jersey revealed that he had an enlarged spleen that could have ruptured at any time. So it wasn't the fault of anyone, he was basically a walking time bomb healthwise.
Quiet here for the last month or so.

I'm back.
I went on vacation, ended up running around, after a stressful return some unexpected things happened, yada yada... I ended quite busy these days. *sigh*
So according to latest private wealth report world wide
Switzerland remains #1 followed by the USofA and Britain. Italy fell to 16. Germany is #18. The millionaires make up 41%.
Well, the list is getting old fast these days....

Re: Random Thought
Interesting enough there are a lot of millionaires in Idaho and Washington states.
Only a week to the big Democratic Debate on CNN. I really want to hear the lower tier candidates like Webb have their say.
I've read Webb's book about the history of the Scotch-Irish in America: Born Fighting, the only thing is that he totally ignores the Scotch and Scotch-Irish that lived in Southeast Virginia, and especially the Tidewater region and concentrates on the ones that lived in the western section of
the state and North Carolina.
And did you see where they say volcanoes might have helped along the extinction of the dinosaurs along with the asteroid?

Feelin' chill a bit right now. Waiting for Aria to arrive in the mail. I have the rest of the year
settled as far as new (for me)anime goes: Please Teacher this month and then next
month Please Twins and end the year with Umi Monogatari. That be the plan.
So another shooting this time in Oregon. Of course both sides are arguing about gun control again.
The real problem is you can't predict these things. If we could then gun control might work, but most of these things are random and unpredictable. And let's not get into the fact that a lot of crime is done with either stolen or illegally purchased firearms or none.

Welp, the Yankees lost so my relatives in New Jersey aren't happy.
Hoping that the Cubs and Dodgers both do well, though kinda pulling more for the Cubbies since they've not made the World Series in ages.
Reading a book about Tchaikovsky. And yeah, it's pretty open about his homosexuality and traces it to probably when he was in school.

Re: Random Thought
Yeah, well, it's debatable whether vulcanos or the asteroid killed the dinosaur. But I have no doubt the asteroid made the difference. Because other than a supervulcan normal vulcanos even if occurring more than normal still take some time to take effect. Therefore, imho "some" should be able to survive through it due to being mutants.
It's getting cold but I think this winter is likely mild. Then again it could be quite cold after xmas. Too fickle right now to say for sure.
So the most raging astro news is that pluto has a blue sky. *wut*
This year I got a new spending spike. The refrigerator died. It was troublesome to replace and transport it due to its bulk. The new one is heavier for some reason. And since I had to move it half a stair it was difficult without another man. I also need to buy a new TV. Both weren't even a decade old yet. Well, actually my TV is fine. It's just the "recent" cable signal manipulation (encryption, smart TV data traffic & spying) causes bad interference. My "old" TV doesn't have those new filter functions to hide those activities. It's the same with my old modem. It doesn't have new features and their weaknesses. It can't be manipulated easily like what's been going on in the past 6+ months with bot net attacks etc. Regardless the newer browsers are the problem imho. If only the old ones didn't have some serious problems I would liked to revert back....

Re: Random Thought
Blue skies sound interesting.
My tv is about a quarter century old and I don't have that problem. Then again we only have basic
cable so that might be a difference...I don't know.
Myself, I could use a larger room for all the things I have. I would love to move my comic book
collection from the old house to here. Easier than my library. Too many books.
So NHL started finally and Minnesota Wild beat Colorado Avalanche 5-4.
In College Football Washington beat USC 17-12.
Cubs in the NLDS...

Re: Random Thought
So when does pluto get it's planet status back?
Unsurprising it looks like Putin just wanted to run tests on his new weapons in Syria. Each case/"incident" is so obvious.
Even though, the yakuza war is going on and there was a general alert given to the public the government/media are keeping silent about what's happening.
Prison school live-action cast is out...well, I don't expect anything.

Re: Random Thought
I think I saw Mercury and Venus in the morning sky today. Venus was pretty bright while Mercury
was dim. Interesting what you can see in the sky at 6 a.m.
Polls still show the Donald ahead. I think he's going to get the nomination unless something happens within the next two months. It's time that Jeb made his move if he really wants to win.
And looks like my Inoue Kikou collection is going to grow since according to the Please Teacher! wikia she plays the main character in the original Japanese.
Supergirl in two weeks.
I have to admit when I was a kid I collected a lot of Superman comics in fact I think they were just about the only superhero comics I collected. I wasn't much into Marvel back then except the
cartoons. But yeah, I had a lot of Superman comics back in the day, and when I re-started
collecting Superman was among the ones I collected. Plus I have just about all of the '90s-
'00s Supergirl comics,so really looking over to the new series.

Trump is more entertaining. All the things he did is just amusing. Trying to defend himself as trademark.
The girl of steel!
http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/10/a-walk-around-sikorsky-raider-contender-for-worlds-fastest-military-copter/
Siskorsky/Boeing is showing off their "new" Raider (?mockup) helicopter. There's no doubt this "new" tech will be adopted, though. Well, I kind of doubt its success due to seemingly limited passenger capacity. Recent wars have show a need for more power/mobility and higher capacity. Time again and again speed has proven to be vital for survival.
That's one reason newer armored vehicle (tanks, IVF etc.) are also getting more mobility & less armor.

Watched the Dems debate yesterday for about an hour and now wish I had that time back.
Nothing really stood out. The GOP tweets were more interesting. At this point I'd even vote for
the Donald if he were the GOP nominee.
Saw the Cubbies finally win the NLDS yesterday!
Haven't this excited about a post season baseball win since the last time the Twins made it to the
World Series.
Missed the last two episodes of Gotham since for some reason our local Fox station was airing
the Antenna tv schedule instead.I don't know what happened.
And yeah really pumped for the S girl tv series.

Re: Random Thought
Let's see if the maiden (!) will be better than the (confusing) Smallville version.
http://arxiv.org/pdf/1509.03622v1.pdf
Recently (like for a year) we got some discussion about alien cloaking their civilization via advanced physics.
Now people are on examining/analyzing possible signs of alien mega structures in a certain star system. People have been careful about the wording, of course. From the little data I've seen...it's quite unusual. Dunno what it is but it shows up like a clear ping(s) signal. So it's unlikely something spherical; maybe a dyson ring?

Even if turns out to be just natural like comets it's still exciting.
I read where Dean Cain is supposed to be in the pilot for Supergirl but not as The Man of
Steel.
I'm re-reading the National Geographic book The Age of Chivalry copyright 1969. Have to wonder how many sites it mentions in the Mideast have now been destroyed by either ISIL or the overall modern warfare in the region.

Re: Random Thought
So there was an illusion over the skies of two Chinese cities called a Fata Morgana that looked like
a floating city. Conspiracy theories abounded of course. From the so called Project Blue Bell to
a parallel universe breaking into our own.
The most likely and mundane one was what the scientists are calling it a Fata Morgana illusion.
The Cubbies are now in the hole 0-2 and need to wake up their bats to get into the World Series.
Meanwhile the Seahawks need to wake up period. I think if they don't make it to five hundred this year then someone ought to be fired.

Fortunately politics is only once every few years. If we had to go through something like this all the time we'd be all perfectly badshit insane by now.
Non-political front: The Arena Football League told the Spokane team since they jumped to the
Indoor Football League that they can't keep the Shock nickname any more,so the team is having
'Re-Name The Team Contest' running until Friday.
Basically the AFL is pissed that another team jumped to the lower IFL( Iowa did it last season).
Oh...I forgot to mention I got my copy of Please Teacher! yesterday. I'll start watching it
after I finish with theGirls Und Panzer OVA.
Non-anime: The X Files return in January!
Also only five days left to Supergirl.
And Happy Back To The Future Day everyone....now where's my flying Delorean?

Like the Borg!
I would vote for Webb if really had a chance on getting on the ballot and also if he could persuade
Carly Fiarino to be his running mate. That would be an ideal ticket. IMHO.
Welp....looks like the Seahawks aren't dead yet. Though they only beat the Niners. That's not saying much considering how most of the NFC West still sucks.
Looks now like the World Series will be either Royals v. Mets or Jays v. Mets.

Mets vs. Royals. Don't know who to root for.
Tonight the long awaited arrival of Supergirl.
8:31 though seems like an odd time to air a drama, even a superhero one. I hope this doesn't turn into the shows kryptonite considering if people don't like the pilot they might turn the channel back to
Gotham.
Is School Live any good? I read up on it after taking the personality quiz at Sentai.( The character I got is the girl who gets bitten by the zombiefied teacher toward the end but the other girls find the antidote in time to save her from fully turning.)

Re: Random Thought
Royals win first game in 14 innings 5-4. Now on to Game 2.
BBall starts for the NBA this week and we Sonics fans are still left in the dark. Well have to make do with the Jazz and T'Wolves for at least one more season. And speaking of Minnesota the sad news was that Flip Saunders the coach died of cancer over the weekend. RIP.
In Canada they had a whale watching boat capsize in BC and five people were killed. Now they are saying that too many people were on the left side of the top section causing it to be instable on that side.
Supergirl was pretty fun. It reminded me more of Lois And Clark than of
Smallville. So Jimmy ("Call me James Olson, only the Big Guy and my mother get to call
me Jimmy.") was actually sent to National City to watch Kara on orders from Supes. Also looks like the Big Bad is going to be Kara's maternal aunt.
I think I'll watch Gotham when it's rerun.
And Callisto Flockhart can really play the bitch!
(Who knew Ally Mcbeal had it in her?)

Yeah, although, I'm not sure what to think about S-girl starting out as being 24 years old. Some rude people would call her an old hag. Not that I mind sexy mature woman.
Whether the rest makes sense...I will bet on some surprising connections.
It's official Northrop got selected for the long-range bomber (as expected)... if the super bowl ad wasn't tale telling.

Actually if you add the 24 to the 13 when she was first launched from Kyrpton she's really 37!
Kinda like Homura's really 26!
And finally Elementary coming back on Thursday!
More Lucy Liu as Watson.
Since Fiorina is fading in the polls I am looking at Rubio as an alernative.
The Mets fan blog at SBNation Amazin' Avenue has an article up reminding everyone that it's not impossible for a team to be 0-2 and still win the World Series.

From what I hear it's likely the russian airbus blew off it's tail and broke apart as the result of instability.
The EU is accusing Erdogan over the selection but they conveniently forget their holding back of reports just before the election to support him. Heh such a farce.
