And I bet they were competing to see who made the better sand castle too!
As far as Mamotte Shugogetten goes...there's supposed to be an anime as well but I don't know if it was ever licensed outside of Japan.I'd like to get it if it were avaible.

Finished up 'Bitter Virgin', kind of a fucked up premise (main girl, 14/15 is raped repeatedly by her step-father and has 1 abortion & 1 birth and the lead male finds out by accident) but a nice story non the less.

BlackXBlack was an okay 1-shot, but the art style was really bad, not a keeper for me.

Got caught up in Berserk (should be interesting on what's going to happen now that the supernatural and natural world are combining.) & Rosario+Vampire (Finally got around to the Inner/Outer Moka arc).

Started 'Ballad Of A Shinigami', so far it's kind of cute in an odd way.

Gonna start 'Bamboo Blade' & 'Blade of the Immortal' soon...

Re-read Shugogetten Mamotte vol.2 yesterday(compilation of vols.3 & 4 of the original Japanese). The story where most of the gang goes to the beach is pretty hilarious as Takashi and Kaori try to get Tasuke and Shao away from each other, but all their plans backfire.

Last week I bought Inubaka:Crazy For Dogs vol.12 and Neon Genesis Evangelion:The Shinji Ikari Raising Project vol.3. What (Manga) You Reading? - Page 2 Icon_basketball What (Manga) You Reading? - Page 2 Icon_cheers
So now I am re-reading Inubaka vol.1 & 3 and then will read vol.12.After that I will re-start The Shinji Ikari Raising Project with vol.1.
I only have vols.1,3 & 12 of Inubaka but wish I had space for the complete series.
    Oh well.
Am I the only one that thinks The Shinji Ikari Raising Project sounds like a Soft Rock Band?

I'm readying "Tsubasa: Resivior Chronicals", "xXxHolic", and "NANA" With Holic and Tsubasa I am reading as they are released in english since I can't read / speak fluent Japanese yet. (And been reading them for the last 3 years) I just started NANA. I just got the first 6 volumes, next month I am ordering the next 3 volumes.

I have NANA on my to get list. How is it so far?
As far as Japanese goes,I'm able to pick up a word or phrase here or there while watching the subs;it only makes me wish I were fluent so I wouldn't need to watch with the subs.

NANA is first rate. It gets really sad around the issues 9 and 10. I love it so far. But I just got in my Seikai: Crest of the Stars novels. I am taking a brake to read them first (Seikai come first). They made two live action movies for NANA. Top Notch. I loved them.

Get the Best Buy Anime Legends kit for Gundam Wing... It's the entire series in 1 or 2 packs that are cheaper than getting them individually.

I always try to get the box sets like that. Always cheaper. But with Manga you can't buy "sets" for cheaper. I got my Seikai books!!!! and they totaly rock. I killed half of the first one off in two days. I had to stop reading it so I can draw it out. I need to make them last untill I can speak / read japanese fluently. But on a good note, the origanal japanese versons are only in katana so I will consentrat on learning that first.

    Not always the case.

The Dragon Ball & Rurouni Kenshin collections, I'm sure there are other examples, are cheaper than buying all the manga volumes separately.

I also bought 'Deathnote' as box set, although each of the 13 volumes were in their original, individual, books, and that saved me around 50 bucks if I had bought them one by one.

And I got a cool box with it.

I tend to read online continuing release and then buy them when they're completed.

I'm still waiting for 'Rosario+Vampire' to get a collection or box set.

I watched 'Rosario+Vampire' but havn't read it yet. Is the manga any good? I loved the anime. Most of the time the manga is better then the anime when the animate a series since they have to leave stuff out and they tend to change some stuff around also.

The manga is way better, but it's also less perverted...which is kind of sad.

Well I read vol.1 & 2 of NANA now and want more.I don't have enough space but if I ever do it'll be on my list of manga to get along with Inubaka:Crazy For Dogs.
I think I might try for either the anime or live action movies now.
btw:I'm a big fan of Laverne & Shirley, well the Milwaukee years not so much the
L.A. years.Just say that to note that the part where Nana and Nana move in together reminded me a bit of L & S with Nana Osaki being Laverne and Nana Komatsu being Shirley.

I just got a new manga! "Clover" by CLAMP. It is only one volume. But it is about 540 pages long. More like a novel in size. I have been wanting to get this one for years. I also ordered several others with this but I haven't got them in yet. A bunch of CLAMP stuff. I wish they would release the rest of the Crest/Banner of the Stars series on novels in english. But it is good incentive to learn to read japanese I guess. Of course if I learn to do that, I can just get my manga in japanese as they come out and not have to wait for it to get translated!

My Tokyo Mew Mew mangas should be here soon.
Sunday I read vol.13 of Inubaka:Crazy for Dogs.It had a lot about grieving for
dead pets in it,since the ending of vol.12 had Czerny,Kanako-sensei's Pomeranian
    die. Sad
In vol.13 she adopts a new dog after a disaster hits a town and some dogs loose their owners.
Now on to vol.14. Very Happy

Also I only have 2 more volumes of Inubaka:Crazy For Dogs to read left.
