The first week of May I'm taking a short hiatus from anime. Need the break so I don't get burn out.
I also want to think through about watching raws.

Going to be a bit busy tommorrow with taking things to the dump and also some branches to the country, so don't know if I'll have a chance to get here tommorrow or not. Started reading a book about the Indian Removals called Trail of Tears written in the early '70s. It goes back to the earlier
removals in the 1820s before the Cherokee were forced out.

AFAIG with the hiatus I am planning for the first week of May, I think I might also want to take a break from the computer and learning Japanese as well. That well when I start over on May 8, I hopefully will have a fresher view of things and etc.

I hope that I can check out Farscape from the library and watch that instead during the first week of May. Haven't seen it in a long time.

Well the dump was closed today so I wasn't as busy as I thought I'd be today.
Got some branches in the back of the truck finally taken care of and after that loaded up
the back with some trash to take to the dump later on in the week.

Looks like Cruz picked up some more in Wisconsin. Hopefully this will slow down the Trump train.

If you notice or bother to Hannity has become a mouth piece for the Trump crowd. They had Trump on talking about the incident with the reporter and most all of what came from Hannity's mouth was
rah rahing for whatever Trump said about it.

Part of the reason I changed my avvie to the Major is because I'm watching Arise and
SAC (or what I have of both) now. Interesting my first dvd I ever bought was a volume of
GITS:SAC.

I read a list of facts about Hogan's Heroes yesterday at the Metv website. Apparently in real life
Werner Klemperer was quite the classical musician since his father was the noted German conductor
Otto Klemperer. It would've been interesting if they had an actual recording of him really playing the violin in real life to contrast with Klink's .
Also the series was supposed to take place in an American prison but they changed it to a German
POW camp when they learned that NBC was thinking of doing a series based in a Italian POW camp.

The list didn't include Leon Askin's appearance on
Three's Company or Klemperer's famous guest role on Lost In Space.

Star Wars Rogue One's coming out. From what I hears sounds very much like the stories fans, games and co have been coming up long ago. And it seems too Jedi-ish for pre-Luck Skywalker.

Hogan's Heroes was actually supposed to be based on the movie Stalag 17 or borrowed from it or something. From what I understand the movie's producers weren't so thrilled.

Yeah most of the people live in NYC but that still doesn't take away from the fact that there's a lot more to the State than the City.

NHL playoffs starting, one interesting match up:
Minnesota Wild versus Dallas Stars. This ought to be fun since it's the new Minnesota
NHL team (relatively speaking) versus the old one that got moved. I look forward to the
day when the Seattle Sonics play the OKC Thunder in the NBA playoffs.

I was able to add some more to my maternal grandfather's maternal line on my genealogy.I got a bit confused there for awhile since one of his ancestors had the same name as a cousin. The cousin was in the army back in Germany and got a girl pregnant.
So he had to get permission from the State to marry her and they had to leave the country after that.
The one my grandfather descends from was a blacksmith and his family stayed in Germany.

I also found out that they were Reformed except that an early ancestor married a Lutheran.

Looks like a Federal Judge in New Jersey has more or less squelched the whole Cruz-Isn't-A-Citizen
movement by declaring that no-one knows what exactly the Founding Fathers had in mind and since
his mother was an American he is therefore a natural born American citizen even though he
was born in Calgary.

Well, it's already a little wonder you can trace that far back.
Would it surprise you if I trace mine back a thousand years and find royalty? *Hohoho* Then again... if you go far back enough anyone's ancestor could have royal blood e.g. chieftain in the distance past before the age of countries.

"Cruz-Isn't-A-Citizen" thing would only work for Japan where you must be born in Japan to pure blood Japanese parents. But then again it's been scientifically proven their are no pure blood Japanese despite their isoliationism and a very late civilization in asian terms. Note the Japanese military counts 6000 years of history yet they only had any form country just 2 thousand years ago.

On a side note I will have to take part in a larger family gathering sometime this summer. Date's not set yet and I haven't bought tickets either. I need to fly to at least two states not including back and forth and whatnot. I will also be on the road later on.

Apparently in German countries they kept count of people's families through what they called
Shippenbuchs. They basically listed who was married to whom and list of children and where and when they were baptised,etc.

Some interesting news on the cancer front:
Epigenomics got permission to sell a cancer detection kit.
More important a "new" Immunotherapy using genetic modified K/T-cells has proven successful (after years of testing) for difficult leukemia. Here your K/T-cells are extracted, modified and re-infused. They go on to destroy malicious cells. For some reason I can't find further details. My guess is it's limited to specific cases. The reporters were obviously not competent enough to provide any good info to go with.
Leukemia is a immune disease, hence, all therapies are called immuno-something. -_-
This reminds me next week two years ago, Lisetta, the founder of the DSS italian team lost to leukemia. She was a great person, always ready to help despite her grave situation. We had a few people at Abhnation, too. I wonder...

Well I finally got around to watching Continuum. Picked up Season 2 at the library last week and binge watched it all last week. They didn't have Season 1 available so I took Season 2. It was the only thing I watched all week except for an episode of Bonanza on DVD.

Last Thursday something happened and it seems that our computer got upgraded. The result was that
a lot of stuff got missing. This is also why I had to get a new password since it was all wiped out.
I have to do the same thing for Tenchi Forum as well now.

btw:I was also working on my genealogy during my time off from anime and fun fact: apparently one of my maternal grandfather's ancestors back in the 16th century in Germany had the maiden name of
Messerschmidt! She was married to a Messrschmitz and their daughter married a Becker.

P.S. Not double posting here, but I need help to get my password at Tenchiforum since like I said
once the computer was updated everything was wiped out when it came to the forums(user name plus password). The problem was when I registered there I used a e mail that we no longer have, so of course when I try to put in the existing e mail it won't work.
I tried to change the e mail a couple times there but couldn't, which is why I need help to get this thing
worked out.

I forwarded your problem to Dagon so you can resolved it with him. The problem is the site FAQ did not list an admin email so we have to wait for it to be provided. If the FAQ page gets updated you can look it up yourself or if it's given to me I will pm you here.

Well I hope our e-mail is fixed by then as it seems that when the computer got it's sudden update it made it so that not only were a lot of things wiped, but it made it impossible to get on e-mail.
Basically you have to go through and start over each time.
Plus today getting on here was hassle as it kept wanting me to get new Adobe for the computer.
Finally did manage to get on obviously. Though it's times like these that make me wonder sometimes if having a computer is worth all the hassle.
Sorry for the rant.

That's definitely windows for you. I gather it was upgraded to Window10. I dunno if you realize but MS now more or less owns the computer. Anything you want to install has to be approved by MS, the user and developer have to pay MS. Well, the real wake-up is probably when W11 comes out. Imho with 64 bit systems we are good for (64-48)*3 years from the software side; and problems are only biding new hardware or standards e.g. USP-5000.  So what MS does now-a-day is ensure it has everyone in its grasp. And despite all the propaganda at arstechnica W10 isn't popular. In April W10 has reached 14.35 % a rise of 0.2% from previous month; W7 @ 48.79 %; XP down to 9.66%
