Monday re-watched the dub of Appleseed 2004 CGI movie.

Tuesday episode 2 of Fushigi Yugi Miaka continues her search for the missing Yui with help from Tamahome.

Wed. ep.38 of KOR the Christmas episode wherein Kyosouke time trips a lot to solve the problem of which girl to take to the Christmas party, Hikaru or Madoka? He finally comes up with the solution of taking both but then time trips one last time spoiling everything!
(Interesting throughout his time tripping he still didn't find a way of making his sisters not fight as in each rendition they're still pissed with each other at the party.)

Th. ep. 9 of Those Who Hunt Elves an Airi episode as she helps a young flower seller prepare for the royal ball but it turns out the girl is an elf so she becomes conflicted as to what to do. In the end she doesn't tell the others in order to protect her friend.

Just voted in round one of Right Stuf's Anime Madness 2020.

Friday episode 1 of Cat's Eye the sisters steal a sculpture that is hidden in an art museum basement vault.

Saturday episode 7 of Ikki-tousen, Great Gardens Ryuubi is possessed while at a amusement park.

Sunday episode 17 of Utena the return of Shiori.

Monday watched Soul Link raw.

Tuesday episode 3 of Fushigi Yugi subbed, and the introduction of Nuriko or as Admiral Akbar famously said: "It's a TRAP!" I wonder who was more shocked later on when they find out "she" was really a "he" Tamahome after that lip lock or Miaka?

Ep. 39 of KOR on Wednesday night. Kyosouke thinks he hypnotized Madoka and has a lot of lewd thoughts of what he can make her do; turns out she was pretending to be hypnotized so the laugh was on him.

Th. ep. 10 of Those Who Hunt Elves an unusual episode since in this case the Elf in question really wants to be stripped because she's stuck in some cursed armor that won't come off!

Friday episode 2 of Cat's Eye, the sisters have to do a double heist after the artwork they were originally after is stolen and the "owner" murdered; so they have to both steal the artwork and catch the real murderer.

Saturday episode 8 of Ikki-tousen,Great Guardians the possessed Ryubbi starts to take over Seito Academy, the only person in her way: Kan'u.

Sunday episode 18 of Utena, Mitsuru is tired of being treated like a kid and is eager to grow up so he can be Nanami's age.
Note: this is one of the few times where Nanami actually says something that makes sense as she tells Mitsuru it's ok to be a kid.

Monday watched the dub of ep. 14 of Nadesico basically a clip show ep. with a twist, it was the characters from the fictional mecha series that the Nadesico gang was hooked on watching and commentating on the action.

Tuesday ep. 4 of Fushigi Yugi Nuriko continues "her" persecution of Miaka, and they're supposed to be on the same side. Also Hothori proposes to Miaka.

Wed. ep. 40 of KOR a parody of Top Gun meets Toho's monster movies but especially
Godzilla and Mothra. Hikaru gets a bit pissed at the end because it ends with Madoka and Kyosouke and not her and Kyosouke. Since this was the last episode on the fansub I had the rest (41-48) is brand new territory for me.

Th. ep. 11 of Those Who Hunt Elves the Elf Hunters are captured for their "crimes" against the Elves. Part 1 of the 2 part season finale.
Comment: Airi's theory that Earth and the Elf World are in fact merging is shown to be correct as there is a scene where Mistress Annette sees Mount Fuji appear and then disappear.

Friday ep. 3 of Cat's Eye the sisters need to come up with a clever ruse to prevent Ai's friend Kazumi from learning the truth after she accidentally takes a photo of Hitomi during an aborted heist.

Comment: The plan that Rui comes up with to keep Toshi and the rest of the police off balance is simple and hilarious:she calls every all-night take out place she can find in the telephone directory pretending to be a representative of the police and asking for take out!

Saturday ep. 9 of Ikki-tousen, Great Guardians background of both Saiji and female-Saiji; also we finally get a look at what's happening and a flashback to Ryofou's return to life.

Sunday ep. 19 of Utena basically a Wakaba story as we meet an old elementary school friend; the reveal in the end that Saionji is back.

Monday re-watched Ai Yori Aoshi ep. 15 raw. Aoi and Kaoru take a trip to the city for a sentimental journey of the their early days together in Tokyo.

Tuesday ep. 5 of Fushigi Yugi Miaka accompanied by Hotohori, Nuriko and Tomahome sets off to visit the Wizard of Oz....APRIL FOOL!!!
Seriously though they start off on their journey to find the one person who can send Miaka back home.

Comment: If Miaka had been more of a thinker like Yui than a lot of stuff that happened later on might not have.

Wed. ep. 41 of KOR Kosouke gets a watch that freezes time but when he forgets to rewind it gets frozen himself.

Comment: The Watch That Freezes Time has been done before, but KOR did it in it's own fun way. Also I was wrong, I think my fansub version went as far as episode 43.

Th. ep.12 of Those Who Hunt Elves the season 1 finale has the Elf Hunters and Celcia on trial for "crimes against Elves" the irony is it was the judge who has the final fragment on her foot!


Comment: Airi is the one who finally has the winning argument has she points to the cuckoo clock and Mount Fuji and asks how long Elves have been having trials similar to Earth trials.

Friday ep. 4 of Cat's Eye, Cat's Eye vs. Lupin's Bride.

Saturday ep. 10 of Ikki tousen, Great Guardians, searching for the missing Ryomou, Hakufu gets possessed by the Necromancer.

Sunday episode 20 of Utena, Wakaba vs. Utena.

Comment: This is the only episode so far where Utena has refused to either fight or draw the Sword of Dios. Her reasoning being she didn't want to hurt Wakaba who she says is one of her best friends.

Monday ep. 4 of Karekanjo Yukino attempts to confess to Arima with continually disastrous results.

Tuesday ep. 6 of Fuhigi Yugi Miaka trapped in the mirror.

Wed. ep. 42 of KOR After Madoka saves a younger girl from a rape gang she discovers that no good deed goes unpunished when the younger girl keeps pestering her with her girl crush on Madoka.

Th. ep.13 of Those Who Hunt Elves aka the first episode of Those Who Hunt Elves II The Elf Hunters help some mermaid Elves who are being besieged by a man eating shark with Junpei serving as bait for the shark.

Cat's Eye ep. 5 on Friday, the sisters vs. Detective Mitsuko who turns out to be clever enough to deduce they're Cat's Eye so they have to be even more clever to pull off their latest heist.

Saturday ep. 11 of Ikki-tousen,Great Guardians Chuubo reveals the truth to Hakufu and Koukin; Hakufu runs to the rescue of Ryomou.

Sunday ep. 21 of Utena Keiko, one of Nanami's hench girls takes central stage as she longs for Touga to love her.

This time around a lot of interesting acceptable anime shows but none are must watch, though.
So here's my short note:

Arte
An art anime about a noble girl outrageously wanting to become an artist in Renaissance Italy.

Hamefura
Another world reincarnation show. A 17 year old girl is reborn as noble girl Katarina, the antagonist of an otome game. Every turn of the story is either death or exile for her! It's entertaining.

Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou
Another world reincarnation show. For unknown reason our protagonist is, well, suddenly in the body of the 8th son of a (very) poor noble's family. He discover he has magic, leaves (to avoid succession dispute) and sets out to become an adventurer.

Honzuki no Gekokujou season2
Mai starts her priest apprentice ship. Obviously, she's not well received and head priest plots against her.

Sakura Wars the Animation
Seems to continue where it left of. Full 3D, somewhat different design and characters.
The show seems to be coming from all the recent girl/boy group 3D anime line... Animation is average, everything else... not so good.

Kuutei Dragons
3D show about (air whale)dragon hunter airship crews...




Gleipnir
An alien rewards people who gather certain coins for him by giving them mutated powers. If they have 100 they can rule the world. So people collect by any means for different reasons.

Shironeko Project - Zero Chronicle
The (ever repeating) cycle of two realms (heaven and hell) fighting for balance or domination where the next generation's future queen and kings will fall for each other....

Princess Connect! Re Dive
Probably another virtual game world where after a failed battle the hero is send somewhere without memory and restart it all again... Don't think it's gonna be good but likely go down the harem path.

Tower of God
People inside a tower divided into different realms (outside where people live; inside is the testing grounds) try to get their wish or gain power by reaching the top (in order to meet god).

Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045
has started streaming on Netflix. It's a full 3D show. High quality, no gloss,but still somewhat old tech if you look at the hair compared to more recent years demos for graphic cards including PS5 demos.
The top economic nations have figured out a way to create "Sustainable Wars" to keep the economy going. Basically, creating wars for the common man to fight for everywhere.
Section 9 is gone (as before) and now the members are working for a PMC company. They get kidnapped to work for the american government to do some dirty secret mission.
The story is so-so with a bunch of typical tropes... meh
The Tachikomas got a reworked to look cooler, somewhat less mechanically reasonable for more abilities/features.
Animation is top notch.

are alright. I think I won't really be watching any others.

Been awhile since my last post.

Saw Captain America:Civil War Monday, Sunday I watched Captain America:The Winter Soldier on FX.

Almost done with what I have of Fushigi Yugi and so in two more weeks will start X.
Also started Moonphase dubbed on Thursday. Only have the finale and OVA left to go on
Ikki-tousen:Xtreme Xecutor and then finally on to Haurka Nogizaka's Secret.
And half way through Banner I.

As I said before I am half way through Banner I now having re-watched episode 7 on Wednesday.So Lafiel admits at the end to Jinto that she was playing a hunch that the fleet in front of them was Abh and not UMK. With that kind of luck she'd make a killing in Vegas. It's also easy to read the thoughts of the Bosroil bridge crew when they watch the fate of the their sister ship, it could've just as easily have been them.

Thursday episode 2 of Moonphase Kouhei is unaffected by Hazuki's bite and it irritates her to no end. Though he does eventually agree to break the crystal that contains the spell that made her a prisoner. This time I did remember about the epilog at the end. Kouhei's grandpa is very astute about the fact that Hazuki isn't human.

Great Hazuki line: "I'm a girl, it comes with the territory." in reply to Kouhei wondering about her mood swings (though it's more like having to do with at this point her dual personality...Hazuki/Luna).

Friday finished what I have of Rin-Ne with episode 25. This was a lot of fun.

Saturday finished the tv series for Ikki-tousen with epsiode 12 of Xtreme Xecutor so now only have the OVA left to watch. Saddest part of this season was learning that Ukitsa was dead in episode 11.   ( She apparently was one of the casualties of the Battle of Red Cliffs in Dragon Destiny.)

Sunday episode 10 of Ghost Sweeper Mikami One of Meiko's shikigamis goes missing and she enlists Reiko and the others to help her look for it.

Monday watched Little Busters dubbed, the episode was the end of the Twins' Story Arch. The main problem I had with the dub was that Little Konata sounded too much like Teen Konata; OTOH, little Hakura sounded right for her age.

Tuesday ended my re-watch of Fushigi Yugi with episode 20. Too bad Amiboshi was spying for Seiryu, he comes across as rather likeable here.
Great Dialogue:

Chiriko/Amiboshi: "I thought I heard the scream of a homo being strangled."
Nuriko: "Well excuse me for being GAY!"

Wed. ep. 8 of Banner I. The preparations for the Battle for the Aptic Gate are begun.

Th. ep.3 of Moonphase. Hazuki and Kouhei go to the mountains to meet her mother; Elfriede is introduced.

Last season where we left off was exceptional but this season it's back to normal mediocre.

Re Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
is back with season3 I think. Well, I never quite warmed up to it, though, it's not that bad but just lacking.

Other than that it seems to me these years have shifted toward animal-, monster-girl, idol groups and other weird shows.

Friday ep. 1 of His And Hers Circumstances, Yukino's plans for High School get shot down by Arima who discovers her secret by accident.

Saturday the OVA Ikki-tousen In Kyoto and end of the series for now. All the Kanto schools go to Kyoto at the same time leading to more classic fights; the local fighters get creamed.
Kenyu and Hakufu are too competitive...first time ever seen two buses play chicken like that!

Overall I rather enjoyed the entire series. Fanservice and boobs aside, it's not bad if you have the right attitude. Though still wish I had the entire Dragon Destiny season instead of the just the middle four episodes just to see what happened to poor Ukitsa.

Sunday ep.11 of Ghost Sweeper Mikami, Mikami, Tadao and Okinu take a trip on a ghost train at midnight( and it ain't the Midnight Train To Georgia either!
Two more weeks and then K'ON!

On Monday I re-watched ep.17 of The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, St.Valentine's Day and Mashiro wants to give Sorata chocolate; Nanami's audition is screwed up because of an accident; Misaki's romantic plans get derailed and Rita returns for a visit.

Tuesday started re-watching X dubbed this time.Epiosode 1 is basically in two parts, part one being the intro to the Dragons of Heaven and part two centered around Kamui's return to Tokyo.
(The guy is grumpier than Scrooge McDuck in these earlier episodes.)
