Well, I wonder what kind of evidence do the police need to secure...

    Panthers it is.

I think Trump will have the best outcome because he will constantly get at least 2nd place. Hence, in the sum he will win. Besides imho due to him having 50/50 this very uncertainty due to voters the likelihood of him winning accidentally is high.

Eh? there's a third runner for the Dems? Twisted Evil I think Hillary will win even though Sanders will get votes to remind her of dissatisfaction.

A new crypto scandal is making the rounds due to someone introducing a fixed and non-prime number into a widely used security tool (open source). It's unclear who did it because the person who committed the code update claimed it came from someone else who's unreachable atm.

there was a "serious joke" written on the wall which said, with much better wording and some math to back it up, that the difference between a mathematician and an engineer is that the former was more concerned that a probabilistic primality test could inherently fail while the latter was more concerned that even a guaranteed algorithm was actually more likely to return the wrong answer because the computer was hit by a cosmic ray while it was determining if the number were prime.
    Sounds familiar Laughing

New shuffling! Minor change in the top 20...well Germany fell out I dunno who rose up instead.

"Soft Machines" is showing new CPUs (Shasta and Tahoe) that seem to be faster in simulation than current ones. With AMD as good as second player only this might be a new game changer.

Well Bill Gates lives in the Seattle area so we have one of the richest people in the world in Washington State.

So now they are saying that too much oil drilling is causing more earthquakes in California. It has something to do with the way they dispose of the waste water, I think.

And...looks like I was right about Manziel going down the Ryan Leaf path as he has now been
questioned for beating up his girlfriend.

Too bad the guy was talented but seems to have no discipline and the attitude that the world owned him a living.

Tuesday on Finding Your Roots they're featuring John McCain. That ought to be interesting.
(I wonder if Dr.Gates would do either Obama or Bush? They should do a Presidential Special for that show as it would be fun and interesting.)

Yep, water is the problem because it makes things fluid as well as dissolves. In a way I think more minor Earthquakes might "disarm" the larger ones as the tension gets released somewhat. It makes not much difference for California.

I dunno if John McCain turns out interesting.

So now all the congressional science reports lead to "concerns" about the mars endeavor.
    http://arstechnica.com/science/2016/02/space-experts-warn-congress-that-nasas-journey-to-mars-is-illusory/
Why am I not surprised? Anyway, Imho the initial purpose was to instigate China into a race and or get there before them. Now that it's obvious economy won't allow China to keep spending on military and space as before it has become less urgent. As I have said all along this would happen.

It looks like OB is about ready to tell the public we will do Saudi Arabia's biding and send troops to Syria and eventually deal with Iran.

This friday the neo-nazis staged a Europe wide demonstration including organized live broadcast. It's just things didn't work out as planned and censorship kicked in time.1

Australia is cutting off climate research because global warming is proven.
    http://arstechnica.com/science/2016/02/australia-guts-government-climate-research/
Looks more like censorship as global warming is only one direction of research.

Looks like we got the first victim of a meteorite strike.

It's just a way to prove based on more or less hard simulation instead of "guessing".

Now we got new evidence of population extinction in Europe 14500 years ago.

So the poor man was in the wrong place at the wrong time. If he had waited 5 minutes more to get his drink of water perhaps he would still be alive?

I read today in the sports page about Trump and the USFL. It stated that it was the first time that his name became well known outside of financial circles. It would have been interesting what would have
happened if the jury had awarded the USFL more than the dollar they did, even though they did prove that the NFL was and is a monopoly.

(Of course the same goes with MLB , NBA and NHL)

John McCain on Finding Your Roots tommorrow. Should be good.

Well congrats to the Broncos for winning the Superbowl, although I expected that the Panther would make it closer than it was.

Probably. It depends on how fast he moves around there. The hole seems to suggest quite a big impact or blast for killing a human. Some distance to stay save from the blast is required. There shouldn't be much fragmentation since it impacts on mud and water. It was probably painful.

Imho Trump became world known since a certain TV show.
Apropos Trump, without relying on hard math calculations I've played a bit in my mind on the estimations. If he gets constantly 2nd place and we only consider percentages then he would end up with about 50% more in votes to anybody else in the GOP. He would need to place 1st in about 12 states to have absolute lead and lose in about 30 states to be the same as everybody else. So all his chances comes down to 1.4:1 in his favor. After the 3rd state voting my confidence with this estimate will be 66% and after the 10th state voting it will be 100%.

Yeah, somewhat surprising the Broncos did it. Things appeared to be set since they scored the first touchdown.

There's been a new wave of talking about the F-35 again. Well, due to already committed investments things are set, so complaining now won't do any good.
And as I have been saying for years the arsenal/bomb-wagon aircraft idea has become a real concept and is now official.

Christie looks like dropping out now. Kasich made a good showing so he's probably still in. Only time will tell when Fiorina will drop out. I think she's done now that she wasn't able to make it on the last
    debate.

So I tried to renew my health insurance with the state of Washington today. Short story is now they need a copy of my birth certificate and so I will have to fax it in some time before the end of March.

And now Cam Newton knows how Russell Wilson felt after The Interception in the previous Superbowl.

I went to the eye doctor yesterday and will have to wait for a week to a week and a half before I get my new glasses. As you would expect my eye sight has gotten worse over the years(the last time I went to the eye doctor was in '08!).

Watched Finding Your Roots yesterday. It was interesting when Dr. Gates revealed to Sen. McCain that he had an ancestor who had been a POW like the Senator, except unlike McCain his
ancestor had died in prison( he was a Confederate who was placed in one of the most notorious
Union POW camps. It was so bad that Lincoln ordered it closed down.)

And apparently McCain descends from John Washington of Westmoreland co. Va.
My Washington line is through John Washington of Surry co. Va.

After waiting for rumors to be lifted it's official : Gravity waves detection proved!

Despite lots of skeptics it's finally showed up. After two decades of running 4 detectors in German, Italy and Japan nothing showed up. Even the current new and larger LIGO detectors (Washington,  Louisiana) took a decade for this. It seems the detection was as far back as last year but it took so long to get a second data set to prove it. They all run the software from the german Einstein institute (Einstein@Home). Based on the specs it seems the waves are more difficult to detect than thought before. The LIGO upgraded with latest detectors was able to see. The first was the german GEO600 had tunnels of 600 m *2 =1200 m effective distance; the LIGO has 4000 m *75= 300000 m=300 km (!) distance...far far more sensitive.

Just recently media is reporting an increase in shark attack due to global warming. Heh, nothing new. The real concern is actually the decrease in sharks (-100 million a year due to shark fin hunting) and turtles and the increase in big deep sea squids and jellyfish. Both of these creature are far more dangerous in various ways.

Yeah, I suspect anything written about physics back then would be rather dated, especially with the way science keeps advancing.

I'm not surprised about Trump. I think Rubio pretty much put himself out of the running by repeating the same phrase over and over again in the last debate. It showed that he's nothing but an empty suit.

President's Day today so didn't go to the library.

I looked up Lincoln's Family Tree on the internet on Friday. Interesting enough there's a question of whether or not a lawyer in Florida may be Lincoln's great great grandson. Officially all descendants of Lincoln died out with his great grandson who was married to the lawyer's mother. The claim is that
the supposed father had an vasectomy before he was born so couldn't be his son. Though it does get a bit suspicious in that there was a deal made with the estate when he was 17 in which he publicly
denounced any link to the Lincoln name and heritage.
    Basically he was paid off.

Jeb getting a slight boost from W but I doubt if it will be enough for him to get past fourth right now in SC. They say he needs more than a fourth place finish to be viable past SC. Maybe a little too late.
Bush family should have been on the stump for Jeb from the get go,which was their major blunder.
I think really he wanted that way so he could campaign as himself. Now that Trump looks like the
nominee they're putting out all the stops but as I said a little too late.

So ISIS is now cutting salaries and even getting rid of their fighters' Snickers and energy drink rations.
Yeah, they must be hitting the bottom when they have to cut Snickers rations like that. Laughing
Though on a more serious note it doesn't mean they're beaten yet. It's gonna take a lot more to do that and a lot more time as well.

One theory was that it was part of a cart since they found the remains of what they think is a horse near it.

And now it looks like Caitlyn Jenner (of all people) is getting it from the Left for voting Republican!

Germany is about to ratify a new immigration law called "asyl packet 2" it's meant to reduce the numbers, by delaying (2 years) family reunions. It all only shows the hypocrisy and or unpreparedness otherwise they wouldn't have trouble. AFAIK they did worse things for people before and who weren't european/middle-east. People in the past got as good as no help other than language classes, no healthcare, no help in housing or job, had to wait for 10 years for naturalization. For middle-easterners practically had dual nationality (only into law recently) and only had to wait for 5 years. No more Jeb! He unwisely spent a lot of his money too soon and also didn't use the resources on hand, i.e. his family, sooner. Conventional Wisdom is dead in this race. It's now all but certain that Trump will be the GOP nominee. Unless things change drastically in the Super Tuesday Primary. I think though
that Trump has managed to press a sore point on most Americans buttons which is why he probably will win.
One thing I agree with him on: Paul Ryan was a terrible choice for VP nominee back in 2012.
He couldn't even win a debate against a lackluster VP like Joe Biden!

My Aunt had an accident walking home up the hill yesterday. She fell down and hit her head. Fortunately a kind stranger stopped by to help her and volunteered to take her to the hospital.
The doctors said she'll have to be in the hospital for three days to be examined. The problem is she
doesn't drink enough water or other liquids and so is dehydrated most of the time.

Looks like unless Trump really looses bad on Super Tuesday that he will be the GOP nomination. The
Establishment are of course doing all they can to stop it. They just don't get it though; the average
voter is "Mad As Hell And Not Going To Take It Any More!" to quote the movie Network.
Basically they are tired of Loosing on the Republican side and want some one who will not only win
but also reflect what everyone is thinking.

Currently a bunch of conferences are going on e.g. ICOE 2016, environment etc.
The honey bees get a lot of attention with over 1000 papers to be evaluated/discussed. As they are responsible for 80% of pollination, yet, only 9 of 20000 species are useful the crisis has become serious.

Cruz and Rubio punching the Donald, finally a fight!
So Trump sees himself among the likes of Patton and McArthur, and see himself as some great... I feel offended. Imho, they said their minds but are not as dump as him. And they were respected for their care of their men not because of their running mouth.

Well my Aunt has been in the hospital for observation and such for the past 3 days and is supposed to come out today. The doctor simply repeated what everyone else has been trying to tell her, which is basically to drink a lot of water and be more careful when she walks.

Yeah, Rubio and Cruz were apparently trying to tag team Trump yesterday when they weren't attacking each other. Poor Dr. Carson felt out of it because no-one was attacking him! Laughing

Though it is still be seen how much this will affect Super Tuesday. Trump will need to do really badly
to loose at this rate. But even if he only ends up in second in some of the States that shouldn't hurt his chances.

New flash just came in that Christie endorse Trump. Wierdness continues!

And did you read where Japan's population is in decline again?

Yeah, Japan's population is declining by 947,305 from 128,057,352 in 2010 to 127.11 million in 2015. Well, remember they had the elderly pension fraud in that time frame. So some 130000+ (?) of those missing were excess for years...skewing the real statistics. Then there was the great earth quake & tsunami & Fukushima disaster with a high death toll. It's still #10 most populated country in the world!

It will probably take two decades before anything gets mass production simply because Boeing/Airbus are still selling their 5-10 year old latest models .

I heard Wicked is gonna get a movie release this year but haven't heard anything for months. I wonder...
Maleficent was great. I wish it was made when I was younger. Embarassed

Well with Maleficent Disney did a good job of turning the villianess until a sympathetic character.

There's supposed to be a new Death Note movie coming out in couple years. This one takes place ten years after the original. Apparently one of the antagonists is played by a former J-Pop Idol.

So this March not only is Barry coming to Supergirl but we also are getting a mysterious female
Speedster on The Flash. Gee with Harrison Wells 2.0 calling his daughter by a certain name
I wonder if initials for this myserious Speedster might be Jesse Quick?
(I hope so as she was my favorite in the 90s Flash comics.)

    Trump has won!!!! *all teary*
So the country is going to be richer ... yeah, right. All the gains gonna to a small number of people. And Joe will provide some of it, too. *sigh*

It appears the FBI changed the password on a certain iphone and forgot it, hence, they asked for apple to "crack"/hand over the key. Pft. I figured it had to be something like this.

It seems there's a move in Germany to forbid pork or swine meat in public (restaurant) in consideration of the newcomers. I bet the industry will be happy to export it all to higher prizes. After all the german meat industry is very popular in asia (china, korea, japan etc.) and elsewhere.

I bet though that the Japanese movie gets made first. As per usual it seems that Hollywood is all talk.
Though I'd be interested in seeing what an American version would be like.

And how are they going to ban pork, ham and other pig meat in public? Maybe they ought to have
separate kosher style restaurants for both observant Jews and Moslems. That is the only thing I can think of. I mean you don't want to deprive poor Sergeant Schultz of his beloved wienerschnitzel!

    Trump: 7, Cruz : 2 and Rubio : 1.
Well I guess Rubio did better than expected. It looks though like the Neo-cons are really their hardest to keep both Trump and Cruz from getting the nomination. As The Donald would say though, they're
pretty pathetic in how they're going about it.

I can now see Trump as the nominee and possibly either Christie or Cruz as Veep.
