Sent in my latest order, this time for volumes 2 & 4 of RWBY Official Anthology Manga along with the manga.

The latest reboot of Charlie's Angels bombed as expected. When will they realize the franchise is about a trio of intelligent and attractive female private eyes who work for a reclusive wealthy male private eye. Also as far as I am concerned no David Doyle like Bosley no reason to watch because he was just as much an important part of the team as the girls.

Kaepernick's try out was another thing that bombed. Reports by scouts who were there indicate that he was just average. Meaning even if a team picked him up the best he could do was second or third string back up. And this is the guy who last time he played went 1-10 not Tom Brady level QB.

Looks like our library now has Alita another live action anime to look forward to watching along with the Scarlett Johanson GITS movie.

Read on some alternatives to cable. Interesting at least three websites included: Library, meaning check out your favorite shows and movies on either DVD or Bluray from the local library. Another alternative was just shutting off tv altogether and go outside. I favor a combination of DVD/Bluray and turning off the set. If you watch DVD/Bluray you can watch whenever and enjoy a day out at the same time without worrying about the schedule on tv.

Another good thing about DVD/Bluray is you don't miss a beat, even if the power goes out for awhile you can simply re-schedule watching and not miss an episode ( something that's not true even of streaming as you're still at the mercy of the streaming company's schedule).

Plus if you check them out from the library you don't pay anything( unless you're late or damage the discs).

Welp...that seems to have been a whole lot of nothing and now it looks like Senator Graham may be looking into the whole Biden thing.

Hopefully I can get my order before Thanksgiving. Next month I plan on ordering Those Who Hunt Elves.

If we have to move again I hope the next place has enough room for all of my stuff. I still have a bunch of books in boxes somewhere in the basement in the house we lived in the country but don't know their exact status.

Tommorrow there's going to be a memorial service for a friend at church who died weeks before my dad. I was thinking of going until my dad died and everything happened so fast,but I think I may skip instead.

DC Presents one looked interesting since it has Superman and The Joker together. Green Lantern features Kyle Rayner GL. The Hulk had Bruce and his cousin Jen Walters on the cover in their Hulk and She-Hulk personas so got it mainly because it featured She-Hulk.

Windy day today. Started around 4 a.m. and they expect the winds in some areas to get as much as 55-60 MPH. It's also around 30 degrees so add the wind chill factor and it's one of those days to stay inside with a thermos full of hot cocoa or coffee.

RWBY manga should be either next Thursday or Friday.

Welp, looks like someone did grab the scouts attention at the Kaepernick farce of a work out down in Atlanta: Jordan Veasey who was an undrafted Wide Receiver and was most recently employed on the Bills' practice squad is going to have a try-out with the Browns.

Speaking of the Bills, they beat the Cowboys in convincing fashion yesterday afternoon. Not a good time to be the Cowboys coach or Dallas fan. About time they got Staubach from retirement or something.

Cold continues here as it was barely 20 degrees when I went to get the mail.

So someone decided to do a movie where Bonnie & Clyde are depicted as a Black couple. The movie is called Queen & Slim, but basically Bonnie & Clyde if they were Black.Shouldn't be surprised much that the SJW and PC crowd would do something like this as their historical reality meter is always pointed to negative levels; after all this was the same crowd that gave us a play based on the life of Alexander Hamilton where all the Founding Fathers are either Black or Brown.

Over the weekend read up on the Vic Mignona case. Hadn't heard about it before until I read a rant about it on an anime blog. Then to be fair I looked up to see what Funi had to say about it, the closest I got was a thread on their forums. So guess they aren't able to comment quite yet.
Though it seems odd that if he were telling the truth then why would both Funi and Rooster Teeth fire him?
Also 1200 pages? Good Grief!
You have to know somethings wrong when the plaintiff's complaint takes longer than War And Peace.
The truth is if these charges of sexual harassment are true and stick, he's very much destroyed any credibility he's had especially among the Christian community in anime fandom.

It's getting warmer again,30 degrees so far today with a bit of snow but slushy and a bit icy as well.

Been trying to get some printer ink but today they said at the office supply store that for some reason the shipment they were hoping for hasn't come in yet.

And the cast of Who Wants To Be A Democratic Presidential Candidate has gone down by one again. Seriously it looks to be getting down to the Big Three and the Mayor of South Bend.

Here there was a bit of a shocking news in College Football as Chris Petersen the coach of the UW Huskies suddenly resigned after defeating WSU for the fifth time in a row in the Apple Cup. He's being replaced by an assistant he's had since he was the head coach at Boise State.

thoughts:

1. I like that they call it Eurasian instead of European since it includes the West Asian component as well as the European.
2. I think perhaps I got Balkans because Greece and Albania are so close to Turkey and West Asia and so the DNA has always been mixing between those two regions.
3. I'll wait until there's an update, but my initial reaction was that the Finnish and Balkan results looked like they might've been flipped.
4. Sardinia is the island that gets forgotten because it borders on Corsica which is to the north.

So if I were to combine all the various results from different companies together, I would say I'm mainly European (mainly Western European) with a good bit of West Asian thrown in.

And the plus side is now I know where in Scotland my family comes from.

I was thinking of watching the CW's version of Crisis on Infinite Earths starting on Supergirl but too much static for some reason. Then again I do have the tpb of the original '80s comic...

When I went to Right Stuf to print out the mail order form I got a Page Not Found message. So I e-mailed them about it. Just a snag. Also told them I was planning on ordering the BD for Those Who Hunt Elves, so we shall see what happens next.

So Umaru is a big One Piece fan or a fan of what passes as One Piece in her fictional world.

Looks like the Republicans in both Houses of Congress have had enough with the farce of a witch hunt of an impeachment.

Snowed over night again, but not too much. Just around 2 to 3 inches is all. Also not heavy so easy to shovel. It's when it rains and snows and the combination makes it heavy that I really hate because it feels like moving a ton of dirt around.

Atm Impeachment is important for the records and as precedent, but otherwise it will end in a few days when it actually comes down to voting. Trump's gonna have his second term. That's pretty much set in stone already.

Why's infinite earth suddenly involved? It was confusing at ep.8's end already.

There are a number of interesting reports around this time of years. Nothing new about climate change except people start to accept it only gets worse and can't be fixed as planned at all.

Poverty in germany is between 12 to 22% depending on wealthy and worse regions. The ones hit hardest are retirees with 33%. Seems representative to almost everywhere around the world imho.

The most important issue it comes down now is the world bank in light of current sanction warfare, the economic outlook. The whole system is being put in question. A lot is going on backstage and politics so nothing can be said or predicted.

For some reason every once In a while our CW station has problems with static. Don't know if it's the network connection or the cable.
Basically they're trying to do Crisis On Infinite Earths though because S-Girl dies in the actual comic they might tweak the storyline around.

So in Illinois a woman was found guilty of a technicality by having a gun that didn't have a proper concealed carry permit although everything else was in order; in the meantime her ex who had been physically abusing her got out with a $10,000 bail. The story goes that she had the gun in her car when he attacked her and she shot in self-defense but was found guilty of a felony for not having the proper conceal carry permit. which means her abuser is free now to abuse again.

Looked up Rightstuf Blog but they didn't have anything about any changes to their ordering system which leaves me wondering what's going on with it. Wonder if they plan on easing out their mail order and go to online ordering only.

Speaking of the UK, the Conservatives not only won but they won rather decisively as it is said to be the worse defeat Labour has had in the past 30 years. Meaning the worse defeat they've had since Thatcher.
One Labour party member suggested that if they want to remain as a party let alone remain relevant to British politics they're going to have to kick Corbyn and his Socialist policies out of the party. This does not bode well for Bernie and company. If I were a Democrat I think I'd be inching my way to the Center right now and follow Bill Clinton's example of running from the Center.

Our church has a special service for those who lost loved ones or had other difficulties/ tragedies in their lives during the course of the year on Thursday night.

January 5 would've been my dad's 96 birthday.

Tuesday= Christmas Eve
Wednesday= Christmas
Thursday= Boxing Day, the day when you get to exchange all those presents for something you really really want.

Maybe to get rid of some of the commercialization we need to get back to having a more religious aspect of the Christmas season.

Don't know much about Hannukah beyond the basics of it having to do with Judas Maccabeus and the re-cleansing of the Temple.

Aside from that Happy Hannukah to all our Jewish friends.(yeah calendar says it doesn't start until Sunday night, but wish everyone a Happy one in case I forget about it on Monday.)

Watched a bit of the Rockets/ Clippers game interesting to see three former OKC teammates go up against each other.

Gosh, been slacking off as far as net activity goes and basically reduced to watching streams.
The issue with my parent's tickets got resolved at great cost since refund was not possible and new ones had to be purchased. Duh. Followed by having to get the new ID's that are going to be required to board airplanes so I went and got a new one for myself, too.
Maybe cause it's winter but I've been feeling quite tired these days. Also for some reason it's been rather stormy for weeks now. So haven't been able to go outdoors.

I feel about fatigued myself. Mainly a lot of shoveling in the past week until the rain started to wash a lot of the snow away. Then again the weather overall is blah.

Our library now as the Captain Marvel movie as well as Thor:Ragnarok plus the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

I think it also has the Shazam movie.

This is going to be the first Christmas without my dad so it'll be a bit surreal, but once we get over it it will seem normal next year not to have him around.

Had to get stamps for my mom and found out they raised the price again this time to twelve cents a book. Looks like I may have to go to ordering online now and save the money for postage.

In church yesterday I got to thinking of how Mary might have been around the same age as Joan of Arc when the angel came to her.

Aside from Those Who Hunt Elves I was also able to add to my live action collection with my sister from Alaska giving me all four seasons of The Pretender.
I think what I will do will watch it on Saturdays when I usually watch it on Heroes & Icons tv network.
Though I think I'll watch it around 6-7 instead of 5-6.

We got a dusting of snow overnight and that was it.

Christmas Eve candlelight service yesterday had some hiccups here and there. But in the end everything turned out alright.

The Catholics were already having Mass when we were going to church, since it's the only Catholic church in town there were lots of cars as normal.

I like the New English Bible translation of Luke's version of the Christmas story since they translate the Greek word for inn as house instead,which gives a completely different take on things and also the angel is suddenly standing in the middle of the shepherds which gives an idea of how frightening it must've been for them. I mean there they are standing or sitting and talking and then this person literally from no-where appears in the middle of their little huddle.

IMHO the shepherds were doing more than quaking in their boots, I think they might have needed a change of clothes before they went to Bethlehem if they had a change of clothes!

2020 I think I will want to order every other month or so and concentrate on finishing some of the titles I have already plus get some more live action as well as anime that I still haven't gotten yet but want to.
Probably be focusing mainly on a few older titles from Discotek and Nozomi as well as some more Sentai.But we shall see. Funny how making New Year Resolutions tend to break down within a few days.

But basically, there are a few titles I really want to get still but mainly add to what I have already titlewise.

It also depends on what is available or not.

But before I do anything I have to check with Rightstuf as to how to order using my debit card.

So now I'm a Norwegian Viking! So far I have gotten Viking, Icelandic Viking and Danish Viking and now I can add Norwegian Viking as well. Wonder when I'll get Minnesota Viking!

Japan has a museum dedicating to the art of manga, they say manga may be getting to the place where uki-oe or block printing was in the past as an art form. So the Japanese are trying to find ways of preserving it.

Not surprising when you consider people are collecting original art work from American superhero comics like
Superman and The incredible Hulk these days as well.

Perhaps one day an original Jack Kirby will be considered as priceless as a Van Gogh.

For various reasons it's been a bit hectic over the holidays. And yeah, I got to stuff myself, too. Now my parents have to be careful about their sugar level so it basically went to me. So much sweets...
Been busy with dealing with relatives, too.

Anyhow, I heard people are developing a kind of streaming service switching behavior to get the best for limited time. It's similar to how people change phone carriers these days. Honestly, it's too much trouble but it's worth it if you must since you could save about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost I think.

Do they have diabetes?

From what I read yesterday DC might be cancelling their service because of the new HBO Max or whatever it's called since it looks like the new Green Lantern series is going to HBO instead of DC.I still would love to see a Kyle Rayner Green Lantern/ Danny Ketch Ghost Rider crossover, it be fun.
