overall the first season is better than the manga because it shows more details where the manga was not giving any reasons. Of course on the other side lots of side stories have been shorten & done via news reports.

I definitely will at least get all discs with the senshi's intros. I dunno how long this will end up to be. I certainly don't want to another 200+ episode collection It's not so different and I'm happy with the classics.

Friday episode 17 of Cutey Honey.This one takes place in the Arctic.Seiji is captured by Panther Claw and brainwashed to attack Honey.Hmmm...sound familiar?

Saturday episode 11 ' The Flower Troop's Training Camp on Sakura Wars. The unit goes on
a training trip and Kanna ends up being the DI from Hell!  
And then things go horribly wrong during a mock battle.

Sunday episode 25 ' Countdown ' of Silent Mobius.Now only the finale next week.
Interesting that:(1) Genossa senses he's lost Katsumi the same time Mana has finally gotten to her
by pointing out that each and everyone of her AMP colleagues are there because they're her friends.
(2)At the same time Katsumi's face has begun to change from the cruel look it had before and gone
back to looking her normal self(except the red hair and grey skin).
(3)It's at that point that Kiddy rushes toward her and deliberatively aims Katsumi's sword at herself with everyone including Katsumi looking shocked as they know what she's thinking of doing and no-one not even Katsumi can stop her from doing it.
(4)Meanwhile Toohru died but not before telling his part in everything to Yuki who is now rushing with
her coffee churner toward the ruins of the AMP HQ.

All in all better than I remember.  

If only I had the time I would rewatch some classics, too. I'm just a bit reluctance because I already seen them.

Sword Art Online II ep.2
Well, still just intro into the gun world. The girls appear at the end. I'm expecting it to peak up with ep.3.

Well I have all my anime scheduled.I just finally officially scheduled Madoka for after
I finish with War on Geminar as I figure I'd have the third DVD by then.(I also ordered a
$10 blind box with Madoka part 3 so I don't know what else I'm getting...)

Monday:episode 8 ' The Sleeping Beauty' on Dirty Pair OVA.Kei and Yuri become babysitters(though mostly Kei)after they find a little girl in a crashed emergency pod.Of course
the kicker is at the end when they find out the girl was asleep for twenty years and is actually
older then either of them!  

Tuesday:episode 4 of Inuyasha:The Final Act. Koga gets good use out of his new claws in this
episode,though he and inuyasha end up in one of their usual quarrels in the middle of a fight with an
ogre.

Wed.: episode 3 ' The Amazing Distant Stage' on Kaleido Star: Sora feels left out when
everyone including Mia and Anna get parts in the up-coming Cinderella extravaganza but she's left
out.Kallos gives her the job of handing out toy flashlights to the kids in attendance but it's only after
failing the first time and becoming a distraction the second that she learns what Kallos' lesson for her.

Th.: episode 12 ' Unseen Pain' on Pumpkin Scissors: The mystery behind "The Invincible
9" gets bigger as a hitman is targeting anyone related to the news story featuring Alice's disappearance.
Later Alice and Oland are attacked by the same hitman and in a separate scene two nobles are seen
having a discussion.The man's face is in the light but the woman's is in darkness.
So it seems that someone is manipulating events.

Friday Cutey Honey episode 19,wasn't sure if it was 18 or 19 that I was supposed to watch but aired on the side of caution and watched 19 just in case.This one was a Western Spoof with Honey
using her Cowgirl and Stewardess forms to combat the episode's Panther Claw threat.(It included
a couple of stereotypical American Indians and was set in what was supposed to be the American
Southwest but the usual great fun.)  

Saturday Sakura Wars episode 12 ' Lonely Birthday'. Basically we get to see Iris' background,and it was pretty bittersweet.Turns out even though her parents were of the haute nobility
she wound up,before Ayame found her,living her life in a well decorated cell.This because they were
afraid of her powers hurting anyone(I think).Anyways this episode also showed the non-combat
ability of the koubous.
What also interesting is that the end of this episode showed that Iris finally got her own koubou.  

Sunday Silent Mobius episode 26 ' Tomorrow' the series finale:
1.Interesting view that Lum Cheng had of Katsumi in that she appears to her as a knight in golden
armor.
2.Before I always thought that when Yuki cried 'EVERYONE' that she was using her powers to
shield them,instead she teleported all of them.
3.When Rosa appears to say her final farewell to Rally it's the one time that Rally actually looks
soft and a bit feminine showing that when she wants to be she can be rather beautiful.
4.The vision that Katsumi has when Grospliner and the Lucifer Hawk's powerlines clash reminded
me of the similiar incident in the first movie(although that was a flashback and this has Katsumi
being able to say goodbye to Roy and her parents for one last time and learning they'll always be
with her not only in her memory but because she's carrying Roy and her child).
5.During the final scene the OP is sung in English.
6,Love the way they show the various AMP members as part of that sequence starting with
Lum Cheng and ending with Katsumi.
7.Well the ol' emotional roller coaster is down for now but this time around I can get on whenever
again.  
8.Overall I have to say it's way better than I remembered and cooler in Japanese.  
and now I know why it's my favorite.
and so on to War on Geminar starting next week.

Sailor Moon Crystal ep.2
Ami joins Usagi.
As indicated in ep.1 it appears the power upgrades seen in the classics now seem to come with each new member. Story wise nothing new but I think beginning with ep.3  each episode will introduce one new general so both side will have their team completed at the same time.  Anyway, can't wait to see Mars!

Sword Art Online ep.3
Unexpectedly slow progress. It seems the producers want to stretch the show and milk the fans.

I've decided to wait until March to order the DVDs so will have to be patient(yeah I know I could
pre-order but want to wait for the fuss to calm down before I order).Anyways by then we should
know if the reboot was totally worth it.

Monday:Vandread:The Second Stageepisode 9 'Embrace All':Stranded on a planet of
telepaths Hibiki is forced to discover the truth about himself.Best Scene:When Dita and the two other
Vandread pilots automatically point to the sector where Hibiki is without knowing why.(Because they
share some type of psychic link with Hibiki?)

Tuesday:Inuyasha:The Final Act episode 5: Kagome, Inuyasha and the gang wind up in a village of demons.Kagome gets at least two good "OWASURI!" in this one!  
It also introduces Totosai's brother(?).

We will get to see how it fares once the Senshi team is complete.
I wonder if the outer senshi will appear or in the next show...

We'll have to wait and see on that one.

Wed.:Kaleido Star episode 4 ' Try Hard And You'll Get An Amazing Chance' :
Mia comes up with an idea for a new routine for her,Sora and Anna to try out and Kallos gives them the ok to try it.
This is the episode that introduces the girl whose mother was a star trampoline artist with the Kaleido
Stage and has some issues with it because of the way her mother died.

Th.:Pumpkin Scissors episode 13 ' Crude But Elegant': Basically a Martis episode,where
he finds himself showing a young brat royal around.He also gets to play action hero
a bit(who knew?).
Also we get to see Stecchin drive(she got one lead foot...no wonder they keep her at base with
Captain Hunks and Mercury most of the time!  )

Just two more nights before War On Geminar!

Mahouka ep.17
Tatsuya won and now the triad has tried to massacre the students. He's pissed. The sis-con on another rampage!
Next time is probably another retaliation annihilation battle...

Tokyo ESP ep1+2
Well, ep. 1 was purely intro but kind of weird as it's people are praising/retelling about the heroine who doesn't show up until the last moment. duh. Bad one I thought.
Ep. 2 finally rang a bell as I recognized it as from a manga I read about 5 years ago. Geez it's such a long time in this world I pretty much forgot about it. It should be somewhat entertaining if you ignore the first episode.
It looks like the scanlation got a boost from the anime attention after all these years.

Friday:Cutie Honey episode 20,and looking back I see I did skip episode 18 well guess I will have to get back to it when I re-watch.Any way episode 20 was a riff on Tarzan with Honey and the
gang discovering a Panther Claw secret base in the middle of a jungle island.Honey goes all Jane of the
Jungle.  

Saturday:Sakura Warsepisode 13 'Bloom Like A Flower! A Maiden's Pride!'
This episode shows how far the Flower Troop has come.This time when they face the Witch instead
of attacking wildly they follow a definite plan.
Sumire and Sakura finally set aside their differences in this one and are able to work as one.
I liked the ending where they're talking on top of the tower...but poor Kanna is totally ignored
stuck mid way up.  

This also had Kanna singing the ED which was a version of the OP set to chibi images of the characters.  

Sunday:War on Geminar episode 1: Well that was impressive.And right off the bat my three
favorites now are:
1.Chiara

Wednesday episode 5 'My Amazingly Distant Family' on Kaleido Star:
Sora's father comes visiting.After witnessing the failure of the girls' act he decides that Sora
should come home to Japan with him,making Sora have to work through her loyalties.

Thursday episode 14 'The Fire Still Burns' on Pumpkin Scissors' Alice and the rest of
the Pumpkin Scissors come across a divison involved in drug selling while helping to move a
Displaced Persons camp.And then they confront another member of Section 9 this one from
a division that uses flame throwers.

Friday episode 21 of Cutie Honey.This one reminded me a lot of
The Wacky Racersand Penelope Pitstop.  
The whole concept of the road race.

Saturday episode 14 'Iris Goes Forth' of Sakura Wars
Iris gets to use her Koubou for the first time as she rescues her friends.
This episode also reveals that the main villian is someone who was a
former comrade in arms of the General's and Ayame's as well as
Sakura's father.So that explains why they were able to kick the Flower
Troop's butt for so long.

Sunday episode 2 'To The Holy Land' of War On Geminar.
I'm still confused about the whole ceremony at the end with the cat
ears.
Also for some reason that one mushroom made Aura and her henchmen go all gaga.  
Add Yukine to the #4 spot after Doll.

Nah, it's a typical young girl cliche.

Tokyo Ghoul ep. 1&2
This is another zombie-esque show in which certain people become human-eaters either through infection or in this case by organ implantation. The particular unique core idea is that the ghoul's sense of taste & digestion changes such that human food/dishes are bad while human flesh is good. It's illogical but that's the idea for the show's troubles. The rest of the show is just about relationship and "gang"/social warfare. Well, it's all average so I doubt I'm going to watch it beyond the first few episodes.

Tuesday episode 7 of Inuyasha:The Final Act.Ends on a literal cliff hanger with Kagome falling.

Well War On Geminar episode 3 'He Who Must Work', was rather interesting to say the least.
Though I really think the harem attacking Kenchi with that mecha was a bit overkill.  
OTOH:It was easy to tell 'Big Sis' Sasami's influence in this episode from the way that Kenchi was
able to do all the housecleaning chores so effeciently and effectively.  
Don't think he was able to do all that from being around Mihoshi or Ryoko,that's for sure!  
Though I am wondering what the heck was happening behind those doors with Chiaia that made her
run out like that which started the whole harem attacking Kenchi with the mecha thing to begin with.
Would I be correct to assume that the green haired girl with the strange tattoo markings on her back
is Doll in her human form?

uhm ...lecherous lady and young girl doing yuri stuff perhaps?

Terror in Resonance ep.1
a new show about nuclear terror...looks like inspired by fukushima.
A group of youngster steal plutonium and terrorize the nation. So far it's so-so.

Kenshi was in there too...so...

Tuesday:Episode 8 of Inuyasha:The Final Act and Kikyo's dead again.Though like Kagura's
it wasn't as sad as I thought it be,just a bit bittersweet and the end with Kagome trying to console
Inuyasha was great.  

So moving on to next week and the intro of Sesshi's mom.And now I can see where he gets his
over all arrogance from.

Ok.so finding out that that green haired girl wasn't Doll I went ahead and read up on Doll in the
Tenchi Muyo Wiki and found that in her human form she's Maxiah,which is confusing since
Maxiah is so different from Doll.

Anyways,on Wednesday I saw episode 7 ' The Amazing Girl Who Doesn't Smile' on
Kaleido Star.
This was about a former member of the Kaleido Stage returning,but she turns out to have lost any
desire to perform and only does it mechanically without any joy.Even the audience can see she hasn't
her heart in it.Early on she asks Sora why she likes to perform so much.It's only after seeing
Sora entertaining the boys and girls with Jonathan that she finds what she's been missing.

Thursday episode 16 ' The One Who Slashes' of Pumpkin Scissors.And now we know what that thing was that Alice picked up at the end of episode 15:her two edged blade(kinda reminded me of Clone Wars there).Classic Double Double Cross between Ratface and the
Noble.
Also Captain Hunks going through the list he asked for,looks like we're getting closer to all those secrets being finally revealed.

Monday:Serial Experiments Lainepisode 3.Interesting when I was looking up Lain at
Wikiepedia to find the right episode I looked at the comments for the characters they had and it said that Arisu and her two friends Reika and Juri were from an earlier work:Alice In Cyberland,
or they were based on characters from it or something like.
Any ways this episode starts directly after episode 2 with the girls being brought to the police station after the shooting at Cyberia.
It's also the one that begins to show that not everything is as it seems.Especially the scenes of Lain looking into the various empty rooms at night.
The ending is pretty creepy when Lain's older sister Mika comes into her room to see what she's doing
and Lain turns and gives her that look.

Tuesday:Inuyasha:The Final Act episode 9.And so the introduction of Sesshomaru's unnamed
mother.Some fans on the internet have nicknamed her Inukimi,but she seems not to have an actual
name.The entire episode is a test to see if Sesshie is really fit to carry Tensaiaga.According to the
Inuyasha Wiki the idea for the test was Sesshomaru's father's idea.Actually Sesshie seems to have come along way from Season 1 of the Original Series when he scoffed at Inuyasha for the way he
cared for Kagome;in this episode he shows that he has grown to actually care for both Rin and
Kohaku(the latter probably because that is what Kikyo wanted).At one point when Sesshie's mother
opens up the escape route he encourages Kohaku to leave as he goes after Rin.
Before he met Rin he would have cared less.

Wed. episode 8 ' A Amazing Star Even In Tough Times' on Kaleido Star,this episode centers around Layla's birthday and introduces her father.It also shows Layla's kinder side.We get to see whyshe's the way she is.It seems that her father is more interested in business than in his
daughter(he even turns down Sora's invitation to Layla's surprise party).The ending shows her back
in bitch mode again since she blames Sora for her father not showing up.

Th. episode 17 'Darkness That Cannot Be Saved' of Pumpkin Scissors.This gives the
background to Hans and also shows why he simply cannot remove his protective suit.In a flashback it's revealed that when the other members of his unit did so they all died in miserable agony with blood shooting out of their mouths and noses.Perhaps it was just as well that Oland
kills him as he pretty much put Hans out of his misery.Also I wouldn't like to get into a fight with
Alice...just saying.  

still waiting for vol.3 of Madoka.Figure now I have until next Thursday before I need to worry.

The post office is seriously pissing me off now.Still haven't got my last order from Rightstuf,hope that
the same thing doesn't happen with my current order.If they come at the same time I will be very
very pissed at the USPS service.

Any ways Friday episode 24 of Cutie Honey this one had a sympathetic Panther Claw,when she
saw that Honey wasn't fighting she asked what was wrong and after Honey tells her that her friends are being held captive by Panther Claw she agrees to free them so that they can have their fight.
Who'd thought that Panther Claw would have someone that was so honorable?Next week the finale.

Saturday episode 17 of Sakura Wars.The Witch is resurrected and Sumire has an overaction
when they meet in battle again.Can tell she's not thinking as she goes off on her own again instead of
obeying ichiro's orders.Sakrua goes after her.Get to see the effects of what happened to Sakura's sword while she was home.

Sunday episode 5 of War on Geminar.So most of it seem to have been a contest to see which
girl could capture Kenshi!
Yukine won by default simply because he likes her.Then there was the cooking contest later where they had to find certain ingredients,it reminded me of the chapter in the Tenchi manga where
Ryoko and Aeka try to impress Tenchi by gathering mushrooms and they both pick poisonous
ones.
Needless to say Kenshi not only finds all the right ingredients but because of Big Sis Sasami's
teaching is able to cook up the most delicious meal!
