This one belongs to an old genre on end world scenarios and japanese isolations. In this case it also involves the divisions of humans to others..eg psyren, 7 seeds,....

There are many incarnations, but I liked the original and the ovas.
2032 just feels different and the story background somewhat off.

I've been lowering my anime/tv watching because of school, but I recently got hold of all the 'Reboot' eps & and almost all of the 'Teen Titans'.

    Been slowly watching those.

So far I have seen episodes 1 & 2 of Buso Renkin and really been enjoying it.Need to get the second boxset before I get done with the first so I can see the whole thing.
Still need to get Chobits and Nanoha before the year ends.
As far as Bubblegum Crisis goes,I've only seen the final volume of 2040 but rather enjoyed it.Should get more one of these days.I'm lazy though.

Allison & Lillia (sp?) I've been enjoying lately... about to enter the second arc.
Simple art style but it makes up for it with a feel good adventure/love story like animes of old.

It really doesn't start to get anywhere until they battle Sasori of the sand or whatever the puppet guy's name is. So settle in for a mild haul before you get anything major.

For me it seems that the plot trailed off there to the unending story and lost its charme. I admit of all those abandoned ones I knew them before any animation had been done, so there might be some arousing difference.

    Ok....let's see:
    Disgaea
    Spoiler:
It's fun, a good relaxation after another working day. I guess poster above describe anime better than i can. Still watching it but highly recommend to anyone.
Highlander - i guess it's obvious what this is about. Nice story to watch. It's nice to see anime turned more philosophical than movies was.
Vampire Knight - even though i like stories about vampires - this one is too melodramatic, almost like soap opera. But if we consider that drinking blood for a vampire is like having sex (which is how it seem) then this anime is a porn The Ubiquitous What Are You Watching Thread? - Page 5 Icon_biggrin
Canaan - this one felt strange... I guess story is nothing special, but it impressed me in a certain way. I tried but fail to describe it. I want to check if it's based on manga/book or something and who is the author.

Good observation. IMHO this is probably one of the reasons why vampirism is being popular, aside from clad women and whatever powersof course.

Strange the name sounds familiar but when I looked up it's something new...
reads like "Black lagoon" and "the Sentinel"

I started watching Mahoromantic S2 vol.1 yesterday.I noticed at the end of the episode there's a countdown to how many days before Mahoro stops functioning.
I also saw that Gainax had something to do with, thus the reason for the
'boob jokes'.Other than that and Suguru's reading habits, not bad.The design of the yet to be named Minwa reminded me a bit of young Val from
    UFO Princess Valkyrie.

Well, it was said at the beginning how much she had left, but yeah.
If I remember right Mahoromantic was before UFO, right? I dunno about the jokes, it's been too long in the past.

This was the first time for me to watch Mahormantic so I didn't know anything about them ticking off the days to her total loss of function until I
saw the first ep. of S2.
Yesterday saw ep.10 of Buso Renkin "We Are Well Matched".Interesting in-joke in that Sushui's Buso Renkin Katana is called 'Sword Samurai X'.
Now I wonder whom that might be referring to...uhmmm...LOL!!!!
I think the Hayaske Twins are like Chono in that even though they're being introduced as villians they are rather sympathetic villians.Sushui especially,as
Tokiko points out, seems to live by the Bushido philosophy including honoring Kazuki's request to answer his question IF he defeats Sushui.
In other news got to Spokane and was able not only to get one but all three volumes of Kashimashi.Should be fun.

Probably because they have a different cast. You think Kiddy Grade and you think Eclaire and Lumiere.
Saw magic Knight Rayearth for the first time on Friday.Enjoyed it a lot.Though I thought Alcyone was a bit pathetic in the end.
Yesterday ep.3 of S2 of MahoRomantic. It was more of a slapstick comedy type of episode.Mainly because of Minawa's klutziness(she tripped, fell, banged her head and got hit in the face by a soccer ball in various scenes).
I think it's a good series to have if you enjoy something on the lines of
    UFO Princess Valkryie.

No they show Eclair and Luminere supposedly dying in the opening (aka cop out to keep you watching).

The reason I'm not impressed is they shifted the focus from a semi decent sci-fi story and Eclair's past memory/ the secret of the ES members... to focus on fanservice... a very annoying childish character, and devalued it by making it more cartoony. There's not a lot of plot... a whole episode is given to the child and her partner breaking into headquarters so they can steal another pumpkin pudding since her partner dropped the first one (headquarters has a cafe they work at).

Just about every episode is got their handler, who looks like a man, but acts like a woman... trying to get the pair to work at the cafe. The first ep consists of a 5 minute "yes you are" "no I'm not" between the handler and the little twerp trying to pull her bloomer's off in the middle of the cafe, be cause he/she demands the kid use white panties. Everyone thinks the kid is a pain in the butt. The last episode had them gushing over the otaku prop of cardcaptor sakura - a star wand bewteen the partner and a full ES member.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum are in the one ep with the pudding, as dee is using the new security system to capture the pair. In contrast to being somewhat ruthless in the original, now the traps consist of making the twerps crawl across oily sumos stretched across a chasm... being covered in twedleedee super deformed dolls... being chased by robotic groping perverts... arm wresting machines...

It's all so very stupid and doesn't fit the original. They might as well called it the Moe and Fanservice Sideshow.

Ack!!!....And I so do like what I have seen of the original.I guess if it's as bad as all that I will skip it and move on to something else like Princess Resurrection or Spice And Wolf.Kiddy Grade ain't Kiddy Grade in my mind if they kill off Lumiere and Eclaire.Might as well kill off Henrietta in
Gunslinger Girl or Kei and Yuri in Dirty Pair.

Just re-watched Animatrix, it's been a while, still - what a great mix of different anme/animation styles and overaly the anime is great - it's among my favorites.
Once again i realized how powerful serious full-detail animation and old style anime vs most modern techniques...
Anyway - here's cool music video about Animatrix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUoWZ_zcPpE

Finished Vampire Knight...oh well, it's like authors forgot what they tried to do in the process. It could be much more interesting that it is, but i guess it's low budget showed.
    Decided to try Gantz...

Monday I checked ep.1 and 7 of Giant Robo to see if they were playable and they were.I guess I just need to do a bit of polishing is all.I did see a bit of scratch on vol.2 but again nothing a little polishing wouldn't hurt.
Yesterday saw ep.12 'Carnival' of Buso Renkin.Loved Kazuki's friends' line:"We'd know that moron's face anywhere!"when Shinyo asks them how they're sure about Kazuki and Tokiko being 'friends' of theirs.
Mahiro actually did something rather brave for her at the end of the episode.
Then again she did realize it was her brother that was fighting for them and had all the confidence in the world in him.

Started to watch Battle Athletess Victory, which was done by AIC.
It's got some meaningful story to it, as encouragement and a general overcome hardships type thing.
Up to ep 11 so far.

Almael would probably like the shuttle design used in the 10th ep.

It's been ages since I watched BA, pretty much in the beginning of my fandom. I was a school kid, it was a nice series. I found the russian girl slapsticks amusing.
I'm going to watch "Blue Drop" soon, a similar genre.

Monster was slow the first couple of episodes but it's gotten to be one of the more addictive series they've shown on Ani-Monday.Now I wonder if Eva is going to blame Tenma for the fact she burned her own estate down.I also wonder what's going to happen to Dieter now that he's traveling with Tenma.

I finished Blue Drop. If you ignore the scifi, battles, and aliens it's pretty normal, although, everything is intervined. The visual is often made dream like. The story and relationships get better closer to the end. Very nice.
There are no sexual things like in the manga. It's conservative, no kisses, no guys, no fan service, ALL GIRLS, but still ... well, I have the impression it's very ecchi. The Ubiquitous What Are You Watching Thread? - Page 5 Icon_redface
