In this thread we will see just how easy it is to create a hit tv series.First be sure to follow these easy steps:
step 1.Watch plenty of tv and don't have any sort of life.
step 2.See what is the most popular type of show on tv.
step 3.Have plenty of money.
step 4.Creatively hire away the writers and other talent from said show to help start your own.
step 5.Change things around so that you don't get sued for being too much alike.
step 6.Own your own network so you don't have to fuss with getting your show aired.
step 7.Pay the FCC nice regular amounts of money on a monthly basis.
Now if you follow all these steps you can be sure to be on the way to having your own hit show very soon.

Note:Of course that is not how it's really done.Though one does suspect that some people dodo at least one or more of the steps.

For a show to be successful it has to be something that's not been there first. So.
1. Watch and find some niche nobody would do.
2. setup some agency to find actors for the show, use fees to finance it
3. organize a live competition, also use fees
4. get s famous celebrity to endorse eg P. Hilton.
5. Shoot it in secrecy
6. Sell it before it's been broadcasted (even if not good, the buyers are forced to milk it, hence, high probability of being used all overagain for a long time.

actors,smactors.These days all you need is a good couple of sock puppets or Elvis impersonators and you have it made.

You watch too much comedy channel.
Go watch something more real like Golden Girls or some mutant series or just Power Rangers.

Btw. what's Heroes about? I saw it several time by chance and saw it ended last year...well 3rd season ending. Seems like just another X-men no brainer with some plot.
