Welp I was wrong the marquis was the same as the finance minister on Pumpkin Scissors, need to pay closer attention. Anyhows saw ep.21 on Friday. Since the Marquis was too short he had his foreign bodyguards to do the fighting for him. Oland steps in to help Alice and she orders him to run when the one bodyguard turns out to have a macelike weapon. Alice then faces the other which has a sword dripping with what looks like some type of poison..

Saturday the OVA of Akikan basically a sex farce as the gang go spend some time at a hot springs. Because of the Akikans inability to stand hot water Nanjimi as gone and asked for a cold spring for them. While there they meet Miku again who has been once more chasing her "Owner" the cat around.

Watched the Bandai dub of Escaflowne ep. 26 on Monday night. This was the first anime I ever tired watching raw so like Silent Mobius, which was the first anime I watched knowing it was anime, it's special. The first time I saw it I thought the big reveal was going to end up being Hitomi was Allan's long lost sister; but the actual reveal of who his sister was was even more surprising. Their reunion was one of the things that made this finale so satisfying. The ending where Hitomi has a vision of Van on the rocks smiling at her was sweet.

Tuesday episode 21 ofThe Pet Girl everything seems to go wrong for everyone but Shiina in this episode. First they don't get enough signatures to stop the demolition of Sakura Hall; then Ayoama has a mental break down in class; then Sorata finds out that his game was passed over by the screening committee in favor of a less complicated one.And to top it all it rains all day! At the end Shiina decides to leave Sakura Hall for good because she reasons that without her everything would be better.

Wed. episode 9 of Gasaraki, Yushiro asks his mom about what happened eight years ago and she tells him to go see his former master back at the old place; Misuzu arrives home from school just as he leaves and asks their mom where Yushiro goes and follows. Then Captain Atataka comes and she and Misuzu travel together. Meanwhile Gowa City is in shut down as they try to catch the infiltrators, but are frustrated by decoys.

When Yushiro arrives his former master takes him into a cave where the bodies of Kai Dancers are kept in stasis and Yushiro is shocked to see not only the original Yushiro's but also that of the master's young son. More secrets are revealed as the master takes him further into the cave; at this time Captain Atakata and Misuzu have arrived and Yushiro can hear his younger sister shout for him.But they aren't alone as others have arrived...

Th. episode 6 of Crest, Lafiel and Jinto arrive at Baron Febdash Territory where the Baron makes all types of excuses to delay their departure. Lafiel is treated as a guest of honor but Jinto is treated like dirt. Later when she is led off to her bath one of the maids injects Jinto with a sedative.
When Lafiel asks where Jinto is the Baron truthfully tells her he's with his father; but avoids revealing that his father is in house arrest. Lafiel gives him the infamous "Abriel Smile" (called the "Abh Smile" here)…

comment: this episode introduces Seelnay one of the more interesting side characters.

Monday re-watched the sub of episode 15 of Wedding Peach after discovering that Yousuke has stronger than usual Love Waves for a human, Pluie concocts a plan to abduct him to discover his secret.Reindevilla allows him to use Nocturne a Devil who locked her feelings away after she was betrayed by her friends.
The Love Angels go off to rescue Yousuke but Nocturne uses her power to casts spells over Lily and Daisy to make them think Peach as betrayed them. However Peach refuses to fight and manages to snap the other two out of their trances and together they defeat Nocturne and go after Yousuke.

Thought #1: That forest in the Devil Dimension still stands out as pretty creepy today.

Thought #2: IIRC Nocturne is the first of several stand alone villainesses until Potamus makes her appearance later on.

Tuesday episode 22 of The Pet GirlThe gang look for Mashiro. Rita returns to help out. Nanami and Sorata look for her together and Nanami comes as close as she can to confessing her feelings to him. They finally find her at the train station and Sorata yells out he loves her before she can go off. Nanami realizes that she can't beat Sorata's feelings for Mashiro so decides to act the part of the friend and comforts a crying Mashiro who thinks the tearing down of Sakura Hall is all her fault...

Thought: Nanami comes closest to letting her feelings out toward Sorata here. Also the others make Jin and Misaki search around the school because they don't want them to miss graduation.

    Saint Seiya - Saintia Shou
has ended and it was just disappointing. It's kind of similar to the last remake of Cutie Honey.
Not recommended unless you are a hardcore fan... Evenso meh. Maybe the manga/novel is better.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken ep. 23
For most everyone it was a successful "summoning" of strong spirits or rather merged little ones for the children. The last one however was a powerful mysterious one that went on to inhabited Chloe Albert. The ex-spirit queen tried to stop it but fails and mumbles about a spirit from the future that just might have given birth to itself just now. She has no idea whatsoever and we are left with a shrug... Bad foredoom? And then after all this abridging we got a feature song pseudo recap followed by ED and another mysterious fore-boredom.
After having fulfilled Shizu's last wish Rimuru and the kids say their goodbyes .
It all feels like the show is ending but there's at least one more episode.
Between the last battle and the kids and now a lot got left out. If it were Naruto or the like that would have been enough for at least one or two seasons on their own.
    We'll see.

Sword Art Online - Alicization ep21
This episode basically revealed what happened to Eugen last time the intentionally left out. He basically manage to break the pontifex's hold but for naught. The End! So meh worthless episode. Unless you count the virtually all naked pontifex. Feels like they were trying hard to fill it up. Oh not to mention the recap episode a few episodes back. Nope I didn't bother to watch it.

Monday watched the raw Japanese of episode 10 of Bleach this is the intro episode for Don Kanonji the somewhat amusingly incompetent spiritualist.Still love the look on ichigo's face when he sees Rukia do the whole BOOHAHAHA! thing with her hands folded across her chest. Kinda "et tu Brute?" moment for him. Chronogically before Orihime and Chad are awoken to their powers but when the Demi-Hollow is revealed the look on their faces as well as the look on Ichigo's sister shows that at this point they're sensitive enough spiritually to sense it.

Tuesday episode 23 of The Pet Girl Graduation ceremony. The principal and other school officials are surprised when Misaki is chosen to give the senior response. She uses it to tell of her time at Sakura Hall and ends with a plea not to destroy it. Before the school officials can stop them the rest of the gang rally around Misaki as does the whole student body. In the end Sakura Hall is vanished from the rest of the proceedings..

Next episode, series finale: Welcome To Sakura Hall

Bleach was interesting at first for both manga & anime but around season 2 it was cleary going the unending story route. I think it got worse later sometime after season 5? I never got past season 3 and mostly on and off, too.

Not many good anime these days. I'm looking forward to the next LoGH and "I'm a spider so what" shows. This is probably all animes I'll watch this year.

Part of the reason being Tite Kubo was still writing the manga when the anime was airing. Also the Toon Network shifted it to the early morning time slot when only the cows were up to watch it. Then I think a lot of people got pissed because of Orihime winding up with Ichigo instead of Rukia.

Wed. episode 11 of Gasaraki Ataka and Misuzu finally meet up with Yushiro and Muhiro but the four of them are captured by Special Forces. In the meanwhile the rest of Gowa's AT team are ordered to the base where the experiments are going on in order to bring the rogue TAs and their pilots to heel.
Unfortunately they learn that the Gowas have been experimenting with supplementing the pilots normal abilities so the rogue TAs are hard to take down. In short they need Yushiro.

Finale episode 24 of Pumpkin Scissors Friday and it left with a feeling that there should've been more. Aside from that I really enjoyed the dub.

Saturday episode 3 of Giant Robo the battle for Shanghai begins; Alberto states his concerns to Ivan about Black Fire on top of the crumbled Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Monday watched the dub of episode 3 of Himouto! Umaru-chan this is the one that introduces Kirie.

Tuesday episode 24 the finale of The Pet Girl end of term and only Mashiro, Sorata and Asakaka are left as the others leave either for good or for break. Later when Nanami comes back they prepare for the new students, one of which happens to be Yuko! Also Misaki surprises everyone by showing up and proclaiming she and Jin have moved into the Universities married quarters!

All in all really enjoyed it and the only regret is that I didn't get the complete series; OTOH Sentai has come out with the complete series collection for $62 and some cents. May need to save shekels for next year...

Wed. episode 12 of Gasaraki Misuzu gets scolded by their older brother for causing their father to worry; Yushiro is "volunterred" to go after the rogue TA, before he does he wants to know the truth of who he actually is. His brother tells him " You are Kai."

Th. episode 9 of Crest Lafiel and Jinto arrive at Sufgonoff but a bit too late as UMK as already conquered the planet; Empress Ramaj meets with the ambassadors.

So even though my order for Banner didn't pan out I can still order it later on or if not worse case scenario I still have Crest and volumes 2 & 3 of Bandai's version of Banner II. The only thing is I don't know if they used the same vocal cast for the Funi dub.

Friday episode 1 of Yuki Yuna Is A Hero, Yuki and her friends in their school's Hero Club learn the shocking truth behind the club when they're suddenly transported to the dimension of Shinjuna-sama and encounter their first Vertex.

Comment: the show definitely shows the influence of Puella Magi Madoka Magica especially in the designs of Shinjuna-sama's dimension and the Vertex, which are similar to a Witch's Labyrinth and a Witch on Madoka. Also Fu and especially Yuki's transformation make them appear similar to Mami and Madoka.

Episode 4 of Giant Robo on Saturday, despite their best efforts the Experts of Justice end of retreating from Shangai; Gin Rei's secret comes out.

Sunday episode 7 of NieA under 7 Mayuko is invited on a group date by Chaiki but declnes at the end as she is ashamed of the fact she has nothing good to wear; NieA starts to hear voices from the mothership.

Monday episode 10 of Actually I Am When Akane overhears Mikan talk about the importance of her glasses to her at the restaurant she works at she comes up with a way to prank her at school. The next day an anxious Mikan tells Yoko and Asahi that she lost her glasses; with the help of Nagisa she looks all through the bushes but can't find them. Then Akane taunts them in the school building by wearing them. She first multiplies the glasses but Asahi notes she's still wearing them! Then she multiplies herself but again Asahi points out the real Akane is wearing the glasses ( a problem she solves by putting glasses on her clones). They chase her around the school until Akari puts a stop to it.
Later outside when Mikan puts her glasses on in front of Nagisa it's revealed they contain a Fortune God,who Mikan claims is a fake. But problems begin when the Fortune God reveals Mikan's feelings when Asahi and Yoko arrive. Nagisa tries to distract them by popping out of the exoskeleton and then

Yoko's batwings show up and they have to distract Mikan from seeing them. One thing leads to another and Asahi bumps into Mikan and the glasses fall down again. When Nagisa puts them on after picking them up she reveals her own feelings toward Asahi!

Tuesday episode 1 of Black Lagoon Rokuro is sent to Southeast Asia with a disc that has sensitive intel on it in order to pass it on to a customer. The shield hero ep.11-12
So far the story has finally arrive at the main arc or at the beginning of it.
The queen has shown up but not in front of our group yet.
The second wave has shown up and we get introduced to the amazing granny *spoiler*
Also Glass shows up for the first time and acknowledges the shield hero as the only true hero. *spoiler*

Sword Art online... it's turn to crap. This season is a waste. I can only recommend the first season forget the rest. You can try the alternative shojo version which imho isn't too shabby.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken ep.24.5
Last time there was a pseudo recap and now this full filler pseudo-recap.
The reason is obviously the anime overtook the manga and novel so they needed time to figure out how to go on and not messing future story lines. Just my guess.
But I do hope it won't become an unending story. Just one or two arcs please.

    Egao no Daika
has ended and I think this was the animation of the novel a few years ago which happens to have an american pendant one year later...
Anyhow, it's kind of a mature story but the anime and the moe mixed in is a turn down. And in the end it comes short.
The story is: On a human colony world (see Saber Marionette) two empires are at war due to resources and technology. The lands have been getting worse and food shortages are increasing. The technology harness power from crystals from thin air (literally). As it turns out the truth and secret is those crystals, unique to this world, tuned to a frequency which allows them to harvest power from nanobots in the air. These were released to terraform the world but now are forgotten technology. As the numbers of nanobots twindle so does the fertility of the land. Realizing that the princess, in an effort to end the war of all wars, decides to destroy the harnessing ability...

Gasaraki episode 13 on Wed. Yushiro's brothers stage a coup and vote their father out as head of the Gowa Family; Meanwhile Muhiro gets tested on after being told since she's considered illegally that they can do anything they want with her. Misuzu and her mother have a talk about Yushiro and why he's not in the family albums. Gowa pere helps rescue Muhiro and drives her and Yushiro to a point where they can resume their quest on foot.

Crest episode 10 on Th. The Infamous "Jinto-Makes-Lafiel-Dye-Her-Hair-Black" episode.(jk)

    Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
But seriously....this is the one where Jinto scouts what is happening in the city and tells Lafiel that they're arresting anyone who looks like an Abh and she gets all snippy about her hair. Then they get attacked by a gang and manage to overpower them and take their car; however the local UMK are looking for them but especially for Jinto for being a "traitor". Also the intro of the Underground.
Plus the Futune is seen for the first time setting up the intro for our fave Abh Vice Admiral not named Bebaus! Laughing Laughing (Yeah after Spoor gotta love the Bebaus Brothers)

    Sword Art Online Alication ep24
Now it actually gets to the main course: a conflict in the real world over ... soul tech.
Honestly, those 24 eps could have been done in just ten and that would have been good not this crap.

Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai ep 09
I haven't actually followed it but from the bits I've seen. It's actually a future or alternative earth where the ocean have been evaporated or missing due to some alien invaders from another dimension (?). In this episodes we get clearly directed to mysterious portals and some unknown human forces and possibly human-like invaders or time travelers (?).

    Girly Airforce
It seems to have turned into a mix of Yukikaze and dunno. It's just too stupid and the harem is also bad. At least no lolis (so far).

So I learned something...when I e-mailed Rightstuf about Kimagure Orange Road I of course used KOR instead of the full title thinking everybody knew what I meant. Instead from the reply I got it seems some people aren't familiar with the abbreviation...aw...well live and learn...

Monday I re-watched Monster Musume 2 episodes, one on disc 2 and the other on disc 3 to check to see if they played. The first one (dubbed) was the one where Kurusu gets sick and the girls have to have Suu nurse him because she's the only one resistant being a Blob. Ironically in the end Smith comes down with the cold( she was shirking her duty really and passing the paperwork she was supposed to do to the Mon Squad); the second was the second to the last episode (subbed) where the Mon Squad goes on fake dates with Kurusu to protect him from a stalker who turns out to be the Dullahan or Celtic Grim Reaper.

Thoughts: 1) both discs seem to work fine, so no need right now to replace (I'll know better once I re-watch the entire series)

    2) wonder if The Headless Horseman was based on stories of Dullahan.

Tuesday episode 2 of Black Lagoon the crew and Rock are trapped in a mangrove swamp with no way out. Rock comes up with a crazy idea that actually works. Later when the disk is returned his boss invites him back to work but Rock reminds him he's supposed to be dead now..

    Mob Psycho 100 Season 2
has ended with the first arc: taking down the enemy leader.
I dunno it's was not as good as season 1 and felt kind of dragging. Then again I felt similar at first for season 1. But if you look for excessive over the top battle then the final showdown will serve you well enough.

Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari ep13
After another confrontation with the King, Melty tries to get Naofumi to reconcile. Of course he's stubborn with good reasons and the rest only feel sorry for her. While negotiating her escort tries to kill her. Naofumi and co defend her and get branded all over the kingdom as evil kidnappers and killers. While trying to leave the country on a mountainous path they are cornered by the other heroes and Melty's sister. They barely escape with their lives.
Here, for the first time we get a hint on the three-heroes religion.

    New anime season!
Remake of "Fruits Basket (2019)" I doubt it's any good compared to the 2001 classic.

Leading to the classic question of "why?".

Wed. saw episode 14 of Gasaraki as Mahiro and Yushiro continue on their pilgrimage to Kyoto Misuzu learns more about the truth behind her beloved older brother. I think her obsession with Ophelia is getting a bit creepy.
It's also revealed that Misuzu is 14.

Th. episode 11 of Crest as Lafiel and Jinto are taken "hostage" by the Anti-Imperial Underground the search for them by the UMK continues; in space the Battle of the Sufgonoff Gate begins. We get to see the first appearance of our beloved Spoor. bounce Very Happy cheers cheers

Friday episode 3 of Yuki Yuna Karin is introduced. She comes across as a bit of an arrogant and self centered lone wolf at first but Yuki and the other girls try hard to make her part of their team, even going so far as giving her a surprise birthday party.

Ok, so by a glance most animes are chibi/moe/borderline ero/phantomime (yes) waste of time kind.

    Fruits Basket ep.1
Modern common art style. Definitely a different kind of flair. Honda is not your independent strong girl but a weak (clumsy) damsel. It's not too bad but falls into the recent magic/occult type of girl that stumbles upon the other reality of the world.

    Shoumetsu Toshi / Afterlost ep1
Yuki, sole survivor of the Lost city tries to uncover the secrets based on left over message of her father....

    Kimetsu no Yaiba ep1
Obviously base on the manga. Boy's family gets wiped by some turn-evil(yokai)zombie people. His sister's infected but for some reason is still protective of him. A hunter spares him and sends him to be trained to become a hunter. After many trials he becomes one of the few yadda yadda...
I bet another naruto esque show

    Fairy Gone ep01
In an alternative world people with a fairy inside are super soldiers and have become illegal after the end of the unification war. Malya (crappy translation of Maria?) chases after Ver(onica). Both sole survivors of their village that was burned down (to kill the fairies ? ). Veronica is out for revenge while Malya gets invited to the hunting organization. My recommendation so far.

    Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin ep1
Another (boy) gets posted to a mysterious department. Hence, he stumples upon the occultic japanese creature world of the world. For some reason he's the only who understand their language. Hint: reincarnation.
