I have a silly question will apple ever do mac that plays blue-ray? I mean all pc makers have already add blue ray to their laptops, so what the deal with apple?

I dunno. Steve Jobs said they would wait until BD is everywhere. So it won't be this year or even next year. 2012 may be different.

I must be behind the times again as I never realized they already had BD installed in PC laptops.

Well, 2-3 years ago they started to offer options to add BD player & DVD/CD burner combos for about 300 bucks! Anyway, they stopped offering this about a year later. Now it seems to be back, but I still don't see any 'improvement'. I would rather wait for the 125GB BD mediums to become more regular. By then I would only need probably 16-24 discs to backup everything. <3
