    Elite: Dangerous Empty Elite: Dangerous

There is a new Elite in the works now, including multi-player capabilities.

(The link to which I am too new to post!)

I look pretty promising, if you like space sims (and I do).

Nice to have another space sim.
We haven't got a really good ones for a decade or more, unless you count X-space or Eve-online. I'm hot for one and hope not to get disappointed.

Developers keep saying it's a dead genre. Mind you, I have a hard time with that when I look at how much RSI have raised to fund Star Citizen!

I rather liked the X games, I still play Terran Conflict some, but Eve just doesn't sit well. I think it's the character system, the whole time-based skill thing. I get the idea that it can help casual players keep up, but what happens when you're significantly behind the major player-base?

You just spend a lot of time staying away from lawless space. Pretty dull, really.

    Exactly.
It's the number crunchers and publishers who say that, though,
They only see the numbers but don't care to listen to the wishes of their customers.
That's not how you create business that's how you get quick money but do nothing.
